I've traveled and worked all over South Africa, but Cape Town has always been home. My roots here run deep - my ancestors arrived from Holland around 1696! After years in the corporate world, I took a step back and explored my own country like a tourist. That journey led me to an unexpected passion: guiding. What started as giving travel tips to friends turned into a full-time career, and I’ve never looked back. Now, with 15 years of experience, I get to do what I love every day - sharing the incredible history, diverse cultures, and stunning landscapes of Cape Town with visitors from all over the world. When I’m not guiding, you’ll find me outdoors - birdwatching, photographing wildlife, camping, enjoying wine farms, or having a good old-fashioned braai (BBQ) with friends.
