Cape Town Highlights & Peninsula – Private Shore Excursion

With limited time ashore, this private tour is designed to show you as much of Cape Town as we sensibly can – without turning your day into a race. We’ll combine the city’s big sights with some of the spectacular scenery of the Cape Peninsula, from Table Mountain and the colourful Bo-Kaap to Chapman’s Peak Drive and the African penguins at Boulders Beach. With your ship’s schedule in mind, I’ll recommend a plan for the day to make the best use of our time together. Being a private tour gives us the flexibility to adjust the route as the day unfolds. I’ll keep an eye on conditions and adapt our route and timing where necessary, prioritising the experiences that matter most while keeping your ship’s departure firmly in mind. It’s an ambitious taste of Cape Town in a day – spectacular views, city stories, dramatic coastline and penguins, with a local guide taking care of the details.

I’ll meet you at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal and we’ll set off to explore the city and Peninsula. Table Mountain – Weather permitting, we’ll take the cableway to the summit for sweeping views over Cape Town and Table Bay. Cape Town & Bo-Kaap – We’ll drive through the city centre and stop in the colourful Bo-Kaap, where I’ll share some of the stories behind this distinctive neighbourhood and its Cape Malay heritage. Atlantic Seaboard - Leaving the city, we’ll follow the coast through seaside suburbs with the Twelve Apostles rising ahead of us. Chapman’s Peak Drive – One of the Cape’s great scenic roads, winding between mountain and ocean with opportunities to stop and take in the views. Boulders Beach – We’ll visit the protected colony of endangered African penguins and spend some time watching these charismatic locals up close. We’ll make our way back to Cape Town and the cruise terminal. The order of our stops may vary on the day, allowing me to make the best use of our time and conditions.
