Hello, I am Daniel, and I am a Tourist Guide in Cape Town. ALL my advertised tours are very flexible, and can be tailor-made to your specific interests and needs. I am passionate about our beautiful Cape. When Sir Francis Drake became the first person to sail around the world between 1577 and 1580, he was so impressed with the Cape Peninsula and Table Mountain that he stated in his log "The fairest Cape, the most stately thing we saw in the whole circumference of the globe. " Any visitors to Cape Town have to visit Table Mountain, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. If you are in Cape Town for longer than a day, it is almost compulsory to drive around the Peninsula to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point for spectacular views. Our biggest export product is our wines, and a tour of the Winelands with inclusive wine tasting is another great tour. If you are also visiting the rest of South Africa, I also offer one way Garden Route tours where you can link up with Johannesburg from Port Elizabeth Airport. I am a fully qualified, licensed and registered tourist guide for the Western Cape and have a Professional Driving Permit. I am also a member of the Cape Town Tourist Guide Association. As part of my license requirements, I hold a valid First Aid certificate and have also completed a Wine Course. You will be travelling in a safe, air-conditioned car to ensure comfort and safety. When we are more than four people, I rent a larger vehicle from a reputable company. I do not take commission from any person or establishment and therefore I am able to take you anywhere you desire to visit or to places where the actual experience has proved to be of the very best value for your money - not to places where I can make a 'quick buck' on the side! One visit to Cape Town and you will agree with the travel author Lawrence G Green: "Though I am always ready to pack for a journey, I insist that Cape Town shall be at the end of it". Livingstone Tourism Academy - Culture Site Guide; MST Medical Skills Training - First Aid Level 1; Hospitality Connection - Basic Wine Course; Republic Of South Africa - Professional Driving permit EC1; Registered - National Department of Tourism: Cape Metropole; Winelands; Overberg; West Coast & Namaqualand; Breede River Valley; Garden Route up to Port Elizabeth and Surrounds.

Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable about Cape Town and took us to all the sights we wanted to see. We got to a table Mountain with superb timing, Bo-Kaap area, Signal Hill, the city highlights and drove along the coastal area of the city see Sea Point, Clifton etc. A little hiccup when we drive past the train station area but all turned out well. Highly recommend Daniel!

What a wonderful 2 days we had with Daniel. A very knowledgeable tour guide who insured that we saw everything that we wanted to and more in Cape Town and the surrounding area. We set the pace for the tour and Daniel’s flexibility allowed us to do and see exactly what we wanted. If we ran out of ideas, Daniel was able to jump right in and make suggestions based on what he thought we would enjoy having gotten to know us. Thanks so much for a fabulous visit to South Africa.

Daniel was fantastic. He was informative, pleasant, and gave us a great overview of the city. He gave just the right amount of detail and answered all our questions. We also appreciate how he was willing to adapt the itinerary to do some additional things that we were interested in. We would highly recommend him!

Daniel - thank you again for a wonderful day in and around Cape Town! We appreciated you flexibility with the schedule. We loved the entire day - but especially the Mariner's Wharf in Hout Bay, great lunch. And then to top off the day at the beautiful Groot Constantia estate & winery. We will think of you every time we partake of the "Grand Constance" wine! Barbara & Terry N. - Culver City, Calif.

Daniel was incredibly knowledgeable and very accommodating in what we wanted to do and see. His intimate historical knowledge of both Cape Town and South Africa was really very good. The only only drawback to the day was the need to purchase additional fast pass tickets for Table Mountain, as by the time we got there, the wait time was over 2.5 hours. This made what was quite an expensive tour nearly an extra £90 on top. But we were tight on a self imposed time frame so there was little that we could do about it.

Your Cape Town tour itinerary

I do not have a specific itinerary for this tour, as I follow my guest's wishes, interests and requirements. Here is so much to offer in Cape Town from nature, architecture, history & culture, that it depends solely on the wishes of the guest - you decide if we would do more museums than scenery, more shopping or the botanical gardens, etc. . . On a typical tour we will drive through the city where I wil show them places like the Diaz- and Van Riebeek statues, the station, The War Memorial, Golden Acre, Groote Kerk, St Georges Cathedral, Mount Nelson etc. We visit the Castle and Slave Lodge, drive through the Bo-Kaap, walk through the Company's Gardens where I show them the Parliament buildings and they have an option to go to the Iziko museum. We go to the view point on Signal Hill where I point out the interesting sites and they can see the Cape Town Stadium built for the 2010 FIFA world cup. Normally we end with a trip up Table Mountain. I will give you the options - you decide where you want to go
