Fully vaccinated (including booster) My passion for the tourism industry began more than 15 years ago, when I arranged a highly successful sight-seeing tour for several friends and family members who decided to visit and explore the natural scenic beauty and diverse culture of South Africa. I grew up in a family where a love for the outdoors was a way of life. I spent most of my career in a corporate financial environment, which has given me an immense understanding of the various industries that drive our economy in South Africa - Tourism and hospitality being one of them. During the middle of 2014, I decide to leave my successful career as a professional banker and pursue my ultimate dream of becoming an "ambassador" of our beautiful country, effectively turning my passion into a career. I must add that going back to study again was an incredibly liberating experience. I am an avid purveyor of all the unique aspects that South Africa has to offer the world from a tourism perspective. These include, but are not limited to; it's rich wildlife, unsurpassed scenic splendour, award winning wines and culinary delights - not to mention our amazing hospitality. South Africa is steeped in profound history and natural beauty. It is also a wonderful melting pot of cultural diversity, making it one of those "must see" places on anyone's travel agenda… A true "Rainbow Nation" as our beloved Nelson Mandela had wished for. As a registered tourist guide and "SA Specialist", I hope to make every visitor's experience a truly memorable and unforgettable one! I live by the simple philosophy of "Creating memorable experiences to esteemed guests all year round". My other passions include travelling to the "great outdoors", where I love to spend my leisure time with close friends and family, either camping in the mountains or soaking up the sun. I also love photography and I am a keen sailor, having achieved my Provincial colours in the sport. I support two charitable organisations, namely the National Sea Rescue institute and "Tears". (The Emma Animal Rescue Society) My other hobbies include travel, reading and historical research. Today, my sole "mission" and passion is to show off what Cape Town and South Africa have to offer as a premium travel destination. Cape Town is regarded as one of the best "value for money" destinations in the world, due to its weak exchange rate. As a local tourist guide, let me take the hassles out of your holiday while you sit back and relax, immersing yourself in the amazing vibe that Cape Town and its surrounds has to offer. My key focus is YOU, our guest. I will tailor-make and design the perfect one day or multiple day travel plan to best suit your personal requirements and budget and will take the hassle out of you having to plan where you'd like to go, where you'd like to stay and what you'd like to experience. I look forward to welcoming you with open arms and creating the perfect and most memorable experience for you in the best City in the world! Explore the beauty of the Cape Winelands. Start your journey visiting the Constantia wine region, renowned for Sauvignon Blanc and Bordeaux Blend wines, along with the modern dessert wines made from Muscat Blanc. Constantia Valley is the oldest wine producing region in the southern hemisphere with an uninterrupted history of winemaking since 1685. The name Constantia is linked with the most famous wines ever produced in this country and it all began at our very own Groot Constantia. Durbanville is a hilly wine-producing area on the northern outskirts of Cape Town in South Africa. It is one of the country's coolest wine-producing regions, and flinty, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc is the most important style of wine produced from the grapes grown here. Your last day will be spent in the Stellenbosch wine region, Stellenbosch is perhaps South Africa's most famous wine-producing region and is home to some of its best-known wineries, renowned for the quality of their Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Bordeaux Blends
Day 1 Constantia wine region, including scenic drives, exquisite food and wines. Suggested wine estates: Groot Constantia, Steenberg Winery & Beau Constantia. Optional visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, time dependent. Day 2 Durbanville wine region. Suggested wine estates: Durbanville Hills, Klein Roosboom, Diemersdal Wine Estate & Meerendal Wine Estate. Day 3 Stellenbosch wine region. Suggested wine estates: Tokara Wine Estate, Boschendal Wine Estate and Spier Wine Farm. All of the above are merely recommendations (although very highly recommended). Everything is flexible and can be changed to suit your requirements on the day. Accommodation can be recommended should you wish to base yourself in the Winelands region. PLEASE NOTE This private and curated tour is highly flexible and can be tailor-made to best suit your needs & is aimed at all wine-lovers, from the fun-loving beginner to the serious aficionado. We are able to recommend the perfect wineries to best suit your your taste buds and budget.
