My name is Jimmy and I'm the oldest out of four kids. I'm 49 years old and I've always been a people person. I started in the tourism industry about 25 years ago. At the time I drove for someone and I thought it would be something temporary but I was wrong. I felt so comfortable meeting new people everyday and sharing my beautiful island's resources , landscapes and sights that I ended up going independent. I started with one Taxi and today although I'm a one man operation I also have a tour van and recently I bought a luxury SUV. I love working with small groups and families so I can give my guests personalized service and attention. I'm not known to do the touristy thing, I go where the locals go on their time off and eat where locals eat. I also customize my tours if requested. With me people always get a memorable experience. Being a one man operation lets me control the quality of my services. When you call or write to me I'll be the one answering it and no one else. I always try to answer emails and calls promptly. Come on a tour or sightseeing trip with me, you won't regret it. I'm a certified tour guide by the Tourism Company of Puerto Rico with aproximitly 25 years of experience. I can speak English and Spanish fluently and know a lot of great spots around the island where you can enjoy yourself and experience how locals live and do things. I don’t know how to swim . No eating is allowed in the vehicle so you must make sure you have a good breakfast before we start the tour. No pets or service dogs are allowed on board because I’m allergic to dogs or cats.

Overview of your San Juan tour
On this tour you visit Old San Juan and learn about the history of the city, landmarks and historic sights. In old San Juan you will see the fortified walls and forts that date back to the mid 1500's when the city was founded. The beautiful architecture left behind by the spaniards are witnesses of the rich history that shaped the city that you will see during this experience. Besides the main highlights, I will show you local spots like the fort San Felipe del Morro, where kids go to fly their kites. Then you will visit Ron Del Barrilito Destilery where you will be able to either do the Mixology Tour or the Rum Tasting Tour. This Rum factory was founded in the 1800's by the Fernandez family, and remains to be one of the iconic Rum's that Puerto Rico offers. On the mixology tour you will learn how to mix and prepare drinks which you will be able to drink, Or your choose to learn the difference between the rums by sampling different rums.
Your San Juan tour itinerary
Suggested Itinerary: • Tour begins at 9:00am leaving from Plaza Colon in Old San Juan or Cruise ship port • We'll visit historic landmarks and sights. This be completed by 11:30am. • After this we'll head to the Distillery for the Rum Tasting or Mixology Tour. The drive should take about 20 to 25 minutes to get to the Ron Del Barrilito Destilery. • Once we arrive and check inn with the host for the tour that you choose this should take one hour. • After the tour at the distillery we'll return to the meeting location where we started in the morning. The group should let me know if you are interested in doing a rum tasting tour or a mixology tour in the destilery as I need to make the arrangements. All my tours can be customized. The duration time mentioned above is an approximate estimate of the time that this experience will take.
