Hi, my name is Albeny, born on the island of La Hispaniola, in modern days known as the Dominican Republic and Haiti, which is only 78 miles west of Puerto Rico. I come from a large family of 11 brothers and sisters. My father moved to Puerto Rico in the early 1990s. I have been all over San Juan on a bike. . since I was a kid, later as an adult, I drove a taxi for about 8 years, and in 2017 moved to New York City after Hurricane "Maria" passed through de island. During my time in NY, I realized that the only place I wanted to live was Puerto Rico because I really enjoyed meeting people and different cultures when driving my taxi so I decided to take the necessary steps to move back and become a host in this beautiful island that has become my home. I took history classes at a community college to better understand our culture and where we come from, starting from the Taino, the first habitant of the island to the present time. I am really looking forward to meeting you and sharing with you the beauty Puerto Rico has to offer and our culture. Old San Juan offers some of the best experiences with World Class UNESCO sites, scenic walkways and streets, fun cultural experience and much more. Having a tour guide will make most out of your time on the island and will give a good overview of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico heritage and culture perhaps wishing to see more, take more vacations photos and see more places. Growing up in Santurce which is a vicinity of Old San Juan gave me the opportunity to enjoy the city on a bike as a kid not realizing back then all the history and cool spots that the city has to offer, once an adult I enjoy dancing latinos rhythm and already having a car start going thru pinones area to have fun at some of the local spots that now make me realize and cherish all the memories and cultural learning that I acquired during those great times. When I fell in love with Calle Cerra back in 2016 when a couple clients of mine took me to a salsa place name Watusi, that's where most of the working class go to relax and have a nice time.
Suggested Itinerary: • This tour will go thru the 1500's built city of old San Juan to cover the historical sights that encompasses: - the forts - cathedral - capitol building • Then heading to the town east of San Juan name Loiza which was founded by our African ancestors and where we'll have a chance to experience local Puerto Rico food. All my tours can be customized upon request
