Kaleb E. Rodríguez Cruz, MBA Experiential Learning Designer | Cross-Cultural Intelligence | Puerto Rico Host Welcome to Puerto Rico. I’m Kaleb, a Puerto Rican host and experiential learning professional who believes the best way to understand a place is to learn from direct experience. My approach is Learning in Motion—turning places, people, culture, and conversation into opportunities for discovery and insight. My professional background bridges federal affairs, legislative policy, economic development, disaster recovery, governance, and cross-cultural learning. I previously served as Deputy Advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico on Federal Affairs and Legislative Advisor, giving me firsthand insight into the institutions, policies, and relationships that have shaped Puerto Rico. Today, I bring that perspective into my experiences through conversation, observation, interaction, and meaningful exploration—not simply as a traditional lecture. Whether exploring Old San Juan, discussing Puerto Rico’s political and socioeconomic landscape, discovering local traditions, or connecting with the island beyond the typical tourist path, my goal is to spark curiosity, challenge assumptions, and create meaningful connections. My experiences are designed for travelers who want more than to see Puerto Rico—they want to understand it, engage with it, and experience learning in motion. Come curious. Learn in motion. Leave connected.

Kaleb was an amazing guide to Old San Juan! Besides his in depth knowledge on the history and the cultural/political aspects of San Juan and PR in general, he was incredibly personable, very communicative, totally flexible, and an absolute pleasure to spend a couple hours with. As first time visitors to PR, he gave my family and I some amazing tips and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. I am an extremely discerning reviewer and highly recommend everyone to do this tour with Kaleb, he is the best!
Kaleb provided information on old San Juan's development over time, a nice historical perspective along with information on the current climate culturally and geopolitically. I enjoyed all aspects of the tour and Kaleb's deep understanding of his city and island. Additionally after the tour he emailed me lots of interesting suggestions of places to go, things to do, and dining opportunities.
Kaleb was fantastic. The history and information was great and he was so personable. He was accomadating and created a wonderful bond.
Kaleb was not only incredibly knowledgeable, he inquired at the beginning to our groups interests and definitely was able to “read” our group! He suggested some great spots for lunch, and he went above and beyond and emailed me other suggestions for sightseeing, shopping, local eats, etc! I would definitely book with him again and hope to be able to on our next time in San Juan! Thanks so much, Kaleb.
Kaleb was great. He asked us our interests ( historical) and then he delivered! He knows a lot of Puerto Rican history and explains it well. We’ve used Tours by Locals in other places and have always had a great experience. Well worth it.
