Hi, my name is Albeny, born on the island of La Hispaniola, in modern days known as the Dominican Republic and Haiti, which is only 78 miles west of Puerto Rico. I come from a large family of 11 brothers and sisters. My father moved to Puerto Rico in the early 1990s. I have been all over San Juan on a bike. . since I was a kid, later as an adult, I drove a taxi for about 8 years, and in 2017 moved to New York City after Hurricane "Maria" passed through de island. During my time in NY, I realized that the only place I wanted to live was Puerto Rico because I really enjoyed meeting people and different cultures when driving my taxi so I decided to take the necessary steps to move back and become a host in this beautiful island that has become my home. I took history classes at a community college to better understand our culture and where we come from, starting from the Taino, the first habitant of the island to the present time. I am really looking forward to meeting you and sharing with you the beauty Puerto Rico has to offer and our culture. Explore the highest mountain on eastern Puerto Rico, El Yunque National Forest encompasses 28, 000 acres of land where we get over 200 inches of rain, it has peaks over 3, 000 feet above sea level. Admire get great views from the majestic Yocahu tower where you'll have an opportunity to see the whole east coast of Puerto Rico an a 360 view of the forest at itself. You'll get a chance to visit waterfalls, do a natural walk through the forest and if weather permit's you'll be able to enjoy a dip at mameyes river to cool you off. I have being coming thru the forest since I was in high school back in 2001so its a very special place to me, I have being able to experience the changes that the forest has been thru during the years and natural forces like hurricanes, more than pleased to show people around and help them understand the local environment and culture until they'll feel like locals. Live the experience of the only tropical Rainforest in US territory!
