Legends and Stories of Riga Walking Tour

If you want to see the most picturesque sites of Old Riga accompanied by old legends and contemporary urban stories, this tour is four you. Legends give us deeper understanding on how people lived in different periods, what was important to them, what were their fears and their enjoyment. In this tour we will see the most picturesque places of Old Riga - Blackhead's House, Dome Cathedral, Swedish gate, Three Brothers houses, House of Black Cats, St. Peters Church. Being significantly larger than other cities of Latvia, Riga is the country's primate city. It is also the largest city in the three Baltic states and is home to one tenth of the three Baltic states' combined population. The city lies on the Gulf of Riga at the mouth of the Daugava river where it meets the Baltic Sea.

We start the tour from the banks of river Daugava, the place Riga was born. While walking through the narrow streets of Old Riga I will show you iconic places in my city, as well as some hidden spots not known even by many locals. We will spot some secret signs on the facades of the buildings, will meet some animals residing in Riga, pass by Riga ghost etc. Will have a chance to taste a legendary balsam, and will try to see an ancient world in a piece of amber.
