Hello, folks! My name is Hiro. I was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1965 and currently live in western Kyoto. I live in a Kyoto suburb, just 10 minutes from the city center and 45 minutes from Osaka by express train. After finishing compulsory education in Osaka, I attended high school and joined a foreign exchange program, studying at an American public school for a year while staying with a host family. After returning to Japan, I passed the university entrance exam and majored in Business Administration. I joined an international student association, gaining experiences in Singapore, the Philippines, and a six-month traineeship in Germany. Specializing in International Marketing, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I then worked for an electric manufacturing company for over 20 years as an international business staff member and manager. Seeking a new opportunity in tourism, I became a professional driver and sightseeing guide for foreign visitors. I have experience as a taxi driver in Kyoto, one of the most beautiful cultural cities in the world. A few years after starting my taxi business, I refined my skills in advanced driving and Kyoto’s geography, eventually becoming an English-speaking sightseeing driver. I guide tourists unfamiliar with Kyoto, introducing them to Japanese culture and history. I am a private tour guide and driver. Learning English since age 10, I continue improving through my work. Recently, I have been motivated to promote Osaka as it grows in popularity, especially with the upcoming International Expo 2025 and increasing cruise ship arrivals. I want to introduce not only famous attractions like Osaka Castle and Dotonbori but also local culture in areas such as Hozenji Yokocho and Ohatsu Tenjin. I also love showcasing Osaka's famous foods, including Takoyaki (octopus balls), Okonomiyaki (Japanese-style pizza), and "Osaka Ohsho" Gyoza (dumplings). I look forward to hearing from you! A bit about me: I am open-minded and enjoy communicating with people from all backgrounds. I believe in learning from each other. My hobbies include city walks, cycling daily, playing Japanese chess (Shogi), and watching baseball (I’m a big fan of Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers!). I also love food and have tried almost everything served to me! Now nearing 60, I am grateful for my health, my family, and my life.

The Osaka area is renowned for its vibrant culture and incredible food. In more recent history, Osaka earned the title "Tenka no Daidokoro," meaning "the kitchen of the nation," due to its central role in Japan’s culinary world. Today, Osaka Prefecture is home to approximately 8.8 million people, with 2.8 million residing in Osaka City alone. The greater Osaka region is filled with lesser-known gems that are equally worth visiting. These suburban areas are not as internationally famous as major sightseeing spots, but they offer rich cultural experiences and unique attractions. If you're someone who enjoys going off the beaten path and discovering hidden treasures, I invite you to take advantage of this customized tour service. For example, we could visit Takatsuki City's Kofun (Ancient Tomb) Park, a peaceful site rich in history. Other fascinating options include the Cup Noodles Museum in Ikeda City, where you can learn about Japan’s iconic instant noodles, or the beautiful waterfall in Minoh City.
As one example, the schedule is as follows; 9:00 pick up at your hotel 9:45 Visit to Takatsuki(city in Osaka Pref.) Kofun (tomb) Park visiting memorial hall, seeing Haniwa (clay figures) 10:45 Visit to Takatsuki Castle Park ( trace of the Samurai Castle, led by Catholic samurai) 12:00 drop off at your requested location
