Hi! My name is Yoriko. I was born and brought up in Osaka in Japan. Now I have a family with my husband, one son and one daughter. I have an experience to live in New York for 4 years, which gave me a chance to see Japan from outside. I want to give overseas guests correct information on Japanese history and culture with best hospitality, which can be obtained only by a national licensed tour guide. Now I am ready to welcome you to Japan and show you around many of wonderful places in Kansai Area including Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. Working 10 years as a tour guide, I have found each person has his/her own interest, pace of the tour, passion for shopping and so on. Some people want to experience the traditional Japan, and others want to see the modern scene of Japan. Overview of your Osaka tour

Nara was an ancient capital of Japan in the 8th century before the capital was moved to Kyoto. The town is very subdued and relaxing, though it can be accessed in an hour's train ride. We visit must-sees in Nara. 1. Todaiji Temple. A Buddhist temple famous for its Great Buddha Statue. Please stand just in front of it, and find the big size yourself! 2. Kasuga Shrine. Japanese Shinto shrine famous for lot of lanterns in the precincts and along the approach. Enjoy a peaceful and holy atmosphere. 3. Nara Park. We walk in the park during our tour. This park is also called "Deer Park". Many deer will come to welcome you! You can have a chance to feed them with special deer cookie. In Nara, please feel the air of 1300years ago and have a wonderful time! If you get hungry after a walk, there are some nice places for lunch.

We had a great day in Nara with our guide Yoriko. Yoriko guided my daughter and son-in-law in Nara a few years ago when they visited Japan on their honeymoon. They recommended her to us highly. Their recommendation was well-deserved. Yoriko was communicative in advance, she knew Nara well, and in addition to showing us the temple and other city highlights, she told us about Nara's interesting history. Yoriko is a experienced and knowledgeable guide, and a truly nice person. She speaks excellent English and all four in our group enjoyed her thoroughly. She gets out highest recommendation.

Our tour guided by Yoriko to Nara was very good. Yoriko was well prepared with maps and pictures to inform us of the history of Japan as well as the heritage sites visited. She was knowledgeable, courteous and considerate. She had gone an extra mile to get us bus schedule for the Kobe Sanda shopping outlets. Her English is fluent . We highly recommend her to other visitors.

Our tour of Nara with Yoriko was wonderful. We got to see a lot and she was able to explain things very well to us. She is a friendly, lovely person to be with. She accommodated my wife's disability (wheechair-dependent), which enabled us to see a great deal without difficulty. We can highly recommend Yoriko.

Yoriko is a wonderful guide who blended historical knowledge with cultural lessons. She is bright and funny and really went beyond in getting us to a shrine we wanted to visit, yet was not officially on the tour. Yoriko had us totally at ease and feeling well cared for the entire time we were with her. We highly recommend her!

*Todaiji Temple Walk through the great south gate and enter the Great Buddha Hall. Inside the hall you will be greeted by the greatest Buddhist statue and smaller statues while you walk around. *Kasuga Shrine Walking along the passage to this shrine, you will see a lot of stone lanterns. Best photo place - stone lanterns and deer. *Nara Park ( vast area of lown around the sites above ) Please enjoy walking and taking photos of deer - symbol of Nara- with peaceful background of ancient capital. Your hotel in Osaka or Kyoto -JR or Kintetsu Railway Nara Station -walk or taxi via Nara Park Todaiji Temple -walk Kasuga Shrine -walk or taxi Nara Station -JR or Kintetsu Railway Osaka/Kyoto This is a tour for you, please feel free to contact me in start time, duration and so on. As for walking in Nara area, it is sometimes suggested to take a taxi according to your physical condition or the number of participants. If you like to hire a private car with a driver, I will arrange accordingly. Please let me know.
