Do you want to fall in love with Palermo? Once upon a time, I found my Sicilian Prince and he decided to never let me go. I'm a German who fell in love with Palermo and Sicily more than 25 years ago and have made a life I love here. I learned to love the Sicilian way of life with the "Mamma" as the boss of the entire family. My husband has 5 brothers and one sister. I have two grown children, and they have 17 first cousins! As time went by, I fell more in love with the unique city of Palermo and its history. From one square to another, you seem to be in another city and in another century. I had studied the History of Art in Germany, so I decided to become a licensed and authorized guide for Palermo and Western Sicily. I have been giving tours of Palermo's unique sights for 16 years. Palermo is the capital city of our sunny island. 3000 years ago people knew that who owns Sicily owns the whole world. Many different civilizations contributed food, language, and architecture. The Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Germans, French, Spanish, Austrians, English, and Bourbons ruled here. Now you can find out why they all desired this special place. Only the city of Palermo offers you such a variety of different influences as well as our two unique world heritage styles: the extraordinary Arabian-Norman style and the impressive Sicilian Baroque. In Palermo and it province, you can admire the splendors build under the Norman kings in the 12th century, as well as gorgeous gardens and the best food of today. • Do you know how we eat ice cream here? • Where the most beautiful church in the world is? • Where and when the 1st parliament was convened? • Where the 1st open-road endurance sports car race in the world started? • Where you can see the most beautiful mummy in the world? • Have you ever visited a marzipan church? I will answer all these questions. Allow yourself to be amazed. If you want a more casual experience, we have the best street food, wines, and beautiful beaches. Today Palermo is an exciting and vibrant city. Just give me the opportunity to show you the beautiful Palermo of today and the Palermo of history. I'm flexible to tailor the tour to your interests. Why not consider a three-wheeled car (about the size of a golf cart) or bike excursion as part of the tour? I am also available for shore excursions. What dreams do you have about Sicily and Palermo? They will always be exceeded. Now, are you ready for this love story? Let's start. I'm a licensed guide since 2001 I always attend professional advanced trainings. I received from the authority of the province of Palermo a Quality Certification in 2005

The highlight of this tour is a visit to the Sicilian Puppet Theater featuring hand-made wooden marionettes. I have done this tour for many years. The Opera dei Pupi, was proclaimed in 2001 in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists. Only a few troupes are left that maintain the true tradition and the ability to build the marionettes complete with their clothing, armor, and weapons. After the show, everyone can touch and even operate the puppets. Since the shows are generally in the late afternoon, we will start at the Piazza Marina. There I will show you a special sight not made by man. It will be a surprise for young and grownup kids. Walking through the narrow streets, we will visit the Admiral's Church with its unique mosaics. We will see many marble animals at the Senate's Square. Passing the Spanish center, I will guide you through our impressive 12th-century cathedral. Finally, we will attend the Operá dei Pupi. During our tour, you will have the opportunity to experience how we eat the best ice
We start from Piazza Marina, near the sea, where I will show you something extraordinary. We will walk through medieval alleys, passing by the noble palaces of the Kalsa district, to reach the Admiral's Church, also called "Marzipan Church". Nearby you will admire the beautiful fountain in Piazza Pretoria and the particular crossroads: the Quattro Canti. From there we will go in direction of the Catheral of Palermo. On the way we will pass by the charming Piazza Bologna. After visiting the 12th century cathedral, we will sit down in the puppet theater, relax and enjoy the show. Are you ready?
