Hello! My name is Clara and I'm a tour guide, officially licensed by the Regione Sicilia. After earning my University degree in Art History, and spending a few years in Rome and Barcelona working within the field of Contemporary Art, I returned to Palermo where I was born and raised. For the last two years I have worked as a Freelance Tour Guide and in the process discovered a magical mix: a use of my talents, knowledge of art history, architecture and Italian culture, a love for Sicily and Sicilian culture, and a desire to share amazing experiences with outsiders. I chose a career that gratifies me and strengthens my love for my homeland every day! Like many of my clients, I am also an insatiable traveler, so I find it easy to step into the shoes of someone visiting Sicily for the first time (or even the second or third!) I always offer my clients an opportunity to see Sicily through my eyes and live my passions with me. I love art, architecture, history and good food (and we have TONS of good food in Sicily!!). Sharing these passions every day in my work makes me so grateful and satisfied! When you contact me, you will also have the opportunity to customize your stay according to your interests. This will give you the opportunity to visit local attractions off the beaten path of guidebooks and tailored specifically to you. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you experience all that Palermo and Sicily have to offer!
