Hello everyone and welcome to Palermo! My name is Mauro, I was born and raised in Palermo, and I truly love sharing the beauty, history, atmosphere, and soul of my city with travelers from all over the world. I am passionate about art, theatre, architecture, history, and everyday local life. When I visit a place, I always look for what makes it unique and meaningful — not only monuments, but also people, colors, traditions, hidden details, and atmosphere. This is exactly the approach I bring to my tours. Palermo is a city of extraordinary contrasts and cultural influences. Here, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East meet in a unique way, creating an atmosphere you will not find anywhere else. My goal is always to create experiences that are interesting, engaging, enjoyable, and personal — never just a list of dates and monuments. I want you to truly experience Palermo, not simply visit it. I have been an official licensed Tour Guide in Sicily since 2014 and an official Trip Leader since 2010. I hold a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Palermo and a Master’s degree from the University of Udine. I lead tours in English, German, Spanish, and Italian, working with travelers, luxury hotels, and international companies from all over the world.

I created this tour for those with little time, but you can use it also as introduction to the city and orientation walk. This guided tour will take you to the hearth of Palermo to better understand Sicily's Capital city in a short time. You will discover the majestic Cathedral and the oldest area of the town, including the impressing square Quatto Canti (4 Corners), the Piazza Pretoria with the Fontana della Vergogna (Fountain of the Shame) and the baroque Church Santa Caterina. I live in the center and I know all the best spots, so I'll point you the cool restaurants where you can have dinner, beautiful places where you can spend your free time. I'll answer your questions about services and possibilities the city offers you, how to move from Palermo and what to visit in the surrounding area.
This tour starts in the afternoon (5 or 6 pm). If you need other times, please ask me, I'll help you if possible. - Going inside the Cathedral of Palermo. - Taking photo at the imposing facade of the Cathedral. - Walking along the main street Corso Vittorio Emanuele. - Passing by the square Piazza Bologni. - Stop at the square 4 Corners (Quattro Canti) and take photo and get orientation. - Stop at the square Piazza Pretoria and take photo at the Fontana della Vergogna (Fountain of the Shame). - Stop at the square Piazza Bellini and take photo of the facades of the Churches "Martorana" and "San Cataldo".
