Overview of your Palermo tour
With this 3-day private guided tour you will fully experience Palermo, a city that is impossible not to fall in love with! I have been running this tour for 10 years and, being an economist, you will get some fundamental insights to understand the evolution of the city, its culture and its people. On the first day we visit two Arab-Norman Cathedrals of Cefalu, Palermo and and Monreale, UNESCO Heritage sites. I am passionate about the Normans so you will get to know how two Norman mercenary brothers created one of the most important and richest kingdoms in Europe! The second day is about open-air marketplaces and street food, that you will enjoy with me like a real Palermo citizen! On the third day Teatro Massimo, the largest opera house in the world when it was inaugurated in 1897! Then the Chinese Palace, an extraordinary palace built by the king in 1806 with a unique style. After lunch at the lovely Mondello beach we pay homage to Saint Rosalia at her shrine built in a cave.
