Ciao a tutti! I’m Diana, a true Sicilian guide with a deep passion for the art, history, and culture of my homeland. Born and raised in Palermo, with roots from the enchanting island of Pantelleria (my dad’s side), I’ve spent my life surrounded by the beauty and stories of Sicily. I’m a licensed guide, and I’ve been guiding travelers for years, sharing my love for this vibrant island in a way that’s anything but boring! I don’t just provide facts—I weave in local anecdotes, funny stories, and hidden details to bring the experience to life. To me, you’re not a tourist—you’re a traveler, and I want to make sure you see Sicily through the eyes of a local. I studied foreign languages and art history at the University of Palermo, and even spent some time in New York to perfect my English. Today, I speak English, Spanish, and French, and I’m eager to share my knowledge with visitors from all over the world. Whether you’re looking to explore Palermo’s historic sites, discover ancient ruins, or uncover the island’s best-kept secrets, my tours are fully customizable. I’m happy to travel to various parts of Sicily upon request and look forward to showing you one of the most charming and colorful places in the world! Are you ready to experience Sicily like a local?

Do you know how and where the friars used to bury their brothers after death? Did you know that in Palermo there’s a place where you can see more than 8,000 perfectly preserved bodies, despite the passage of time? If the answer is no, I recommend visiting the Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo with me!
We’ll gather at the Capuchin Catacombs to begin our journey through time. From there, we’ll wander toward Palermo’s majestic cathedral—stunning in its outward grandeur, yet strikingly different within—where the secrets of its soul await to be unveiled. The tour will last about 3 hours. From the Catacombs to the Cathedral, we can either walk or take a taxi to reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele , the impressive Porta nuova and the magnificent Palermo Cathedral. The tour ends in the Cathedral area, the very heart of Palermo.

The distance from the catacombs to the cathedral is 1.7 km (1,05 miles) We can walk to the cathedral, or if you prefer, we can call a taxi.
