Traveling is my passion, as it is talking to people to share stories and emotions. After spending 10 years working and traveling across Europe I eventually decided to come back to Sicily. Why? Goethe once wrote "Without Sicily, Italy creates no image in the soul: here is the key to everything". Sicily is a land of emotions: wonderful art, ancient history, delicious food and breathtaking views. As different travelers have different interests, I love to tailor-make the tours according to what travelers are willing to experience, so that to turn each tour into a truly, unforgettable experience. Giorgio was an excellent guide. He is very personable and knowledgeable. He really knew the history of the area, It was a wonderful experience. Between Him and Angelo, we had a wonderful time and experience. Would Highly recommend him and Angelo to anyone wanting a tour of the sites and culture of Sicily. 5 Stars.
Our guide (Giorgio) was outstanding! He perfectly coordinated all the planning and research needed to make our time in Sicily amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars on the review, I would. I highly recommend Giorgio as a guide to anyone visiting Sicily. His communication prior to the trip was outstanding - helping us make all our arrangements, answering questions, etc. We felt like we already knew him when we arrived. The visit to see where our ancestors lived was a wonderful experience - made even better by all of the preparation and research that Giorgio did for us. An outstanding tour with every detail perfectly planned in advance - we hope to return someday and work with Giorgio again!

If I could give Giorgio Di Marzo a 100 star rating I would! Our tour with him was beyond expectations. He spent alot of time locating my Grandparents genealogy history and locating their birthplace. It was amazing to visit their birth homes. Giorgio was full of information about the areas of Sicily that we visited and he was interesting, entertaining, enlightening; he made the tour very fun! I highly recommend a tour in Sicily with Giorgio Di Marzo!
Our family took my parents back to a tiny little town my dads grandfather was from. It was a very touching experience. Giorgio did an amazing job . Thank you Giorgio !
Giorgio is an excellent guide. He did background research which included a planning trip to our ancestors village prior to our arrival. The result was that the town Registrar was prepared to meet us with all of the records we requested. In addition, Giorgio gave us a terrific history lesson during the 2 1/2 hour drive. Finally, my son was traveling to a different location at the end of the day and when his ride was extremely late, Giorgio contacted the driver to ensure he was coming and waited with him.

These are the main experiences, though other can be added on request: 1. visiting the birthplace of your ancestor(s), including the street(s) they were born at if the information is available 2. meeting up with your local relatives, a touching experience that you will remember forever. No worries about the language divide, I will translate for you! This research may incur in extra costs. It may involve different steps: 1. getting the original birth certificates or other certificates of your ancestors - up to 4 included from the same registry office, a research on more than one registry office and/or on the church incurs in extra costs 2. locating your relatives 3. organizing the tour 4. meeting up with your relatives. 5. applying for the Italian citizenship, at an extra cost. The services are offered in Sicily and Italy.
