Genealogy Services and Tours in Palermo

Our guide (Giorgio) was outstanding! He perfectly coordinated all the planning and research needed to make our time in Sicily amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars on the review, I would. I highly recommend Giorgio as a guide to anyone visiting Sicily. His communication prior to the trip was outstanding - helping us make all our arrangements, answering questions, etc. We felt like we already knew him when we arrived. The visit to see where our ancestors lived was a wonderful experience - made even better by all of the preparation and research that Giorgio did for us. An outstanding tour with every detail perfectly planned in advance - we hope to return someday and work with Giorgio again!

If I could give Giorgio Di Marzo a 100 star rating I would! Our tour with him was beyond expectations. He spent alot of time locating my Grandparents genealogy history and locating their birthplace. It was amazing to visit their birth homes. Giorgio was full of information about the areas of Sicily that we visited and he was interesting, entertaining, enlightening; he made the tour very fun! I highly recommend a tour in Sicily with Giorgio Di Marzo!

Our family took my parents back to a tiny little town my dads grandfather was from. It was a very touching experience. Giorgio did an amazing job . Thank you Giorgio !

Giorgio is an excellent guide. He did background research which included a planning trip to our ancestors village prior to our arrival. The result was that the town Registrar was prepared to meet us with all of the records we requested. In addition, Giorgio gave us a terrific history lesson during the 2 1/2 hour drive. Finally, my son was traveling to a different location at the end of the day and when his ride was extremely late, Giorgio contacted the driver to ensure he was coming and waited with him.

THE BEST EXPERIENCE! In all honesty, we were uncertain. This was the first time we'd ever contracted with Tours By Locals, and the Genealogy with Tour package was fairly expensive for us. However, my husband & I found the tour to be THE most wonderfully, heartfelt and memorable experience of our Italy trip. Giorgio is SO responsive, friendly, patient, considerate and accommodating. We'll be friends forever - as well as the newly discovered family he introduced us to in Sicily! GRAZIE MILLE, GIORGIO! <3
