I'm inviting you to join me to discover the multi-ethnic features that have made these Norman monuments World Heritage Site and we can even feel today in daily life. Byzantines, Arabs, Jews, Normans worked together creating a synthesis, that is also reflected in the Sicilian way of living. Palermo is striking for the amount of churches and palaces concentrated in the ancient city that is one of the largest in Europe. The Normans chose Palermo as the capital of the Norman Kingdom of Sicily and to legitimize his power the king ordered so many churches, that one day is not enough to see them all. I would like you to grasp the essence of Sicily through these unique monuments like the Palatine Chapel, inside the Norman Palace, Palermo Cathedral, Martorana Church and St. Cataldo church. We will reach the beating heart of the old city with the " Quattro Canti", Piazza Pretoria, Piazza Bellini and the Arab markets. Benvenuto a Palermo!

*Meet and greet at the agreed location in Palermo *Walking to the Norman Palace seat of the Sicilian Parlament and visit of the royal rooms ( visit suspended on Tue, Wed) * Visit of the Palatine Chapel (approx 1 hr. Restrictions on Sundays am due to masses, pm closed. *walking to Palermo Cathedral (approx 10 min. walk) * Visit of the Cathedral ( restrictions on Sundays am due to masses) *Walking to Martorana church (about 20 min walk. Closed on Sundays am and every afternoon. As alternative St. Cataldo church) and we pass through the "Quattro Canti", Pretoria and Bellini squares * We go to the Arab market to grasp its multicultural atmoshere and smell its scents. **All my tours can be customized to suit your expectations the best.
