It was very good. We hired a private guide for the tour through the ruins. Then enjoyed lunch at a restaurant below with a great view of the Temple.

Traveling is my passion, as it is talking to people to share stories and emotions. After spending 10 years working and traveling across Europe I eventually decided to come back to Sicily. Why? Goethe once wrote "Without Sicily, Italy creates no image in the soul: here is the key to everything". Sicily is a land of emotions: wonderful art, ancient history, delicious food and breathtaking views. As different travelers have different interests, I love to tailor-make the tours according to what travelers are willing to experience, so that to turn each tour into a truly, unforgettable experience. Any tour with me is hence more than just a tour, so please do not hesitate to contact me should you either want to make any changes to a tour I offer or to inquiry about a tour that you have in mind and want me to help organize it for you. I would love to make your dreams come true! I provide tours in French and Russian with my wife, as she is Russian and teaches French.

With this full-day private guided tour you will see some splendid Ancient Greek temples and get to know the wonderful histories behind Agrigento. The view along the way is splendid: we will be driving through Sicily inland and along the coastline, so just fasten the seat-belt and enjoy the various landscapes before getting to the temples, whose view makes everybody stare in awe still after 2, 500 years. I will drop you off by the main entrance, on an hilltop, and provide instructions and information on what to see. If you prefer, with an extra, a colleague of mine will guide you inside the Valley of the Temples, cost not included to be quoted. After about 2.5 hours walking downhill I will meet you at the exit. After lunch at one of the best restaurants in the area I will take you to visit one ruined though still impressive 'secret' temple in order to better understand how big and important the sacred area of Agrigento was.

Experience of a lifetime. This archeological site, UNESCO symbol, is an absolute must see. The remnants of Greek temples and Greek town are the best we have seen. Some are older than Parthenon. We explored the Temples of Juno, Concordia and Hercules, the gardens, and multiple burial sites. The tour from Palermo was perfectly organized: very smooth ride with some very detailed and interesting commentary on the history of Sicily, a stop for a drink, and we were joined by a local guide for the Valley of the Temples, who did an amazing job. The guide also booked lunch in a lovely villa/ hotel with direct views of the temples. Giorgio really went above and beyond to make this experience special. We even had a chance to visit secret temple and stopped at the Turkish steps, a natural wonder. Great tour, would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sicily.
Great day at Agrigento!
We really enjoyed both these cities. Again, we had another tour guide to take us through Modica and Ragusa. She was wonderful! Georgia is both knowledgeable and patient!
Giorgio shared a wealth of knowledge and experience about Sicily's history and current affairs which passed our time on the road to Agrigento. We traveled in a comfortable Mercedes van. In Agrigento, he introduced us to an energetic and very smart tour guide who surprised us with a very animated and engrossing tour of the archaeological site. After the tour, Giorgio took us to a nearby resort for a fabulous lunch on a patio overlooking one of the Agrigento temples. He also took us on a separate short tour near Agrigento to see other ruins. It remains one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily.
Our group of 8 had a fabulous private tour to Valley of the Temples, Scala de Turchi and Villa Casa Romano from Palermo, all organized by Giorgio! He was a great driver with lots of information to share on our long drives. He also arranged knowledgeable tour guides at each of the major sites. It was a busy 12 hour day, but we were very happy with everything we saw and did. We would certainly recommend Giorgio!
