Herculaneum is smaller and more intimate, offering a glimpse into private Roman life with stunning homes, preserved wooden features, and colorful mosaics.

We’ll meet either at the Pompeii train station, just a short walk from the entrance, or directly at the Porta Marina Inferiore gate. I’ll be there with a sign displaying your name. Pompeii is a vast site, but during our tour we’ll focus on the highlights: the Theaters, the Forum, a private home, the famous plaster casts, and the Thermal Baths. After Pompeii, we’ll take the train to Herculaneum, Pompeii’s smaller but remarkably well-preserved sister city. The tour starts at Herculaneum’s ancient shoreline, where you’ll see the skeletons of victims who tried to escape. Then we’ll explore private homes, thermopolia (ancient snack bars), shops, bakeries, and more — a vivid look into daily life 2,000 years ago.
