Great tour. Guide made each of us experience the full beauty of the tour even though some of us are in our 20s, some in their 50s, and some in our 80s. A great balance of letting each of us do what they are capable of, while also accommodating the elders to as full of an experience as possible.

Our visit to Pompeii was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Italy, and we owe that entirely to our exceptional guide, Fabrizio. From the moment we met him, it was clear that this was far more than a job for him—it was a true passion. Fabrizio’s vast knowledge of Pompeii, Roman history, and archaeology was remarkable, but what made him truly special was his ability to bring the ancient city to life. As we walked through the streets of Pompeii, Fabrizio transformed ruins into homes, businesses, gathering places, and communities. Through his engaging storytelling and deep understanding of history, we were able to imagine the lives of the people who once lived there nearly two thousand years ago. What could have been simply a tour became an immersive journey through time. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his love for history shone through in every explanation. He was patient, personable, and always willing to answer questions, making the experience enjoyable and fascinating for everyone in our group. We learned more in a few hours with Fabrizio than we ever could have learned exploring on our own. Pompeii is an extraordinary place, but it takes a truly gifted guide to help visitors understand its significance and appreciate the human stories behind the stones. Fabrizio did exactly that. Fabrizio was amazing! He was very good at communicating beforehand and arrived early but was very flexible to wait with us! Started to share history and point out sites from the minute we entered the van. Very comfortable ride to Pompeii. He is extremely knowledgable and was excited to share and show us everything possible in our short visit in Pompeii. We could have stayed twice as long. Such a wonderful experience! There is a lot to see and learn about in Pompeii, Fabrizio did a great job of giving us a feel for the city. We walked through the forum, the old excavations and new as well as the museum on site. We had a nice stop for lunch too. The history of Pompeii is so interesting and seeing it brings it all to life.

I really cannot say enough about our 3 days with Fabrizio. He is a historian and archeologist by training, has 30+ years of guide experience and will build you a totally personal trip depending on your interests. I was specifically looking for someone with a good knowledge of the history of Pompeii and Herculanium. He exceeded all expectations. He has both broad and very deep knowledge of Roman history, Pompeii and the Amalfi region. He got into the weeds with my mom about history stuff but also was good at engaging our kids with age appropriate interesting information about life in 79AD. When we go back (which we all want to - including my 2 teenagers) I will certainly be calling him again!!
