Welcome to Naples! My name is Alessandra and I have been a Licensed Tour Guide of Campania Region since 2004. I am truly passionate about Naples. My grandad, who was an expert in history and classical music, passed on his deep love to me when I was a child, telling me the history of Naples, its legends and taking me to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum and the city museums almost every weekend! Since then I have never stopped reading and studying about Naples. I was born in Naples city centre and after working all around the world (the UK, Iran, North Italy), I have chosen to come back to Naples to live here and to enjoy every day its incredible, unusual and unique beauty. Naples is an open-air museum and a vibrant stage where travellers can take part in its colourful performances. Visiting Naples means to experience also its intangible cultural heritage, made up of its traditional and contemporary music, its moving melange of Mediterranean colours. Walking through its markets, you can be invaded by inebriating fragrances of aromatic herbs and spices, which invite you to taste one of the most delicious cuisines of the world . It is impossible to resist Neapolitan street food! Moreover, people, with their warmth and exhilarating dialect will make your trip unforgettable. The list of experiences you can have in Naples is almost endless! I am an independent traveller and during my journeys abroad, I always look for the "authenticity" of my experiences. And as a tourist guide, the authenticity is what I would like to share with my guests, together with accuracy and attention to detail. Therefore, I usually propose a mix of historical and mythological elements, showing secrets that only locals know, in order to enjoy the Neapolitan way of life, without forgetting its night movida. I am an expert swimmer too, and I love snorkelling to take pictures of the local sea life and of underwater archaeological remains, lying a few meters under the sea levels. For this reason, I also organise snorkelling tours to discover the treasures in the Gulf of Naples by kayak or by traditional motorboats, called "gozzo". Beyond the range of tours I propose, if you are interested in a specially tailor-made tour, do not hesitate to contact me. Moreover, each tour can be enriched with lessons to make the real Neapolitan Pizza or lessons to learn the basic Neapolitan language! Master of Art in Translation Studies at Warwick University, Degree In Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and Russian), Licensed Tour Guide of Campania Region, First Aid Training Course, Theatre of Absurd and Neapolitan Theatre courses, Sailing School courses I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

A walk through Spaccanapoli street to discover Neapolitan folklore and its stunning cultural heritage. Along this road, we will visit the mysterious Church del Gesù, the elegant Church of Santa Chiara and its colourful, vivid cloister, covered with yellow, green and blue tiles, called "riggiole". Silence, trees of oranges and ancient frescos will let us travel into the past. We'll come back to the current everyday life at San Domenico Square, to taste some of the gastronomical monuments of Neapolitan pastry: Sfogliatella and Babà. The mysterious alchemist Raimondo de Sangro Prince of Sansevero will meet us in his unmissable chapel. Inside, we will visit the Veiled Christ and the macabre anatomic machines. In San Gregorio Armeno, I will show you thousands of cribs, figurines, lucky charms. After tasting the real pizza or pasta with ragù, we'll visit the Cathedral and Caravaggio's Seven Works of Mercy.

Alessandra was a pleasure to deal with. All communication was quick and efficient. Her English is flawless. We learnt tons about Naples, and our group enjoyed all the little extra stories. We had an enjoyable stop for coffee and a great recommendation for lunch after the tour. Highly recommended for all age groups.
Alessandra was a wonderful guide to the city of Naples and made the history of the city come alive with her narrative. She showed us many sights and was highly knowledgeable. Alessandra was professional, interesting, accommodating. She gave us great recommendations for other things to see and do after our tour with her ended. I highly recommend Alessandra for anyone who wants a great tour of the city.
Alessandra is outstanding! I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Naples through her fun, lively and engaging explorations. She was very flexible so as to ensure I was totally happy with the tour. Thank you, Alessandra!
We met Alessandra and from the minute we saw her we hugged. Very Italian and we loved it. She was great! She showed us as much of Napoli in the few short hours we had with her. She was informative, full of energy and truely loved her city. She made us want to drop everything and move to this great city. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Alessandra on your next visit to Napoli.
Alessandra did a wonderful job of bringing the old town alive. She showed us the remains of the ancient Greek walls where they were visible from the street above, and took us through the markets and the narrow streets. She was also excellent at interpreting the masterpiece “The Seven Mercies” by Caravaggio and “The Veiled Christ” at the Sansevero Chapel. She was very knowledgeable and gracious and adapted the tour to our needs. She also helped us map our way to Pompeii for our next travel day. We would highly recommmend her.
