Three-hour guided tour of Herculaneum

This is our third tour with Dario. He has exceeded our expectations each time - to be able to tour a site with an archaeologist is a great experience. Highly recommend.

Smaller, more intimate and much more difficult to excavate, it is better preserved and is not plagued with the onerous Pompeii crowds. Dario is an outstanding guide. Thanks to him we had fantastic and scientifically accurate insights into both, current research topics such as how traffic and reconstruction was organized and more general knowledge about the excavation. He helped us understanding better how complex and well developed craftmanship has been in 79 AD and how the daily routine was organized which helped us imagine how life in Herculaneum was better than any video or animation could ever do.
