Hello! I 'm Barbara. I'm an authentic Neapolitan, born and raised here. I love this city and its environs. Unlike so many who live here in the Napoli area, I constantly take advantage of the incredible myriad of experiences available here. Growing up I turned my passion in my field of studies and expertise into my livelihood. I have a masters degree in History and archeology from the University Orientale of Naples (one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe) and I love to constantly upgrade my knowledge, especially about archaeology. Archeology is so fascinating for me because it is not a right science, a lot is already known and there is so much more yet to be known. About archaeology there is no greater source of information than in Pompeii with its constant and amazing new discoveries. The first time I visited Pompei I was 8 years old. I was with my mother, who is a history teacher and most of all a passionate scholar of Roman history. She shared with me her passion for history and art, and I love to do the same for you on my tours. My job is not just a job it's my passion, I LOVE making my clients knowledgeable about Naples and its neighbors, which is like nowhere else you have ever been on Earth. Who better to open your eyes to the charms of the fascinating city of Naples and all of the Campania region more than someone who is deeply in love with it? I love what I do, always sharing my knowledge to create fun, informative and memorable tour experiences, time after time. I think that every client is unique and therefore so is every tour. Whether you have been here many times or are a newbie, I focus on your preferences and create the ultimate itinerary that fits you and yours. As a result, together we build up a tour program that is sure to be delightful and most memorable experience for you and yours. For me, this is not a job, it's a joy! No scripted speeches or monologues. What you'll experience is an attentive, engaging and informative tour. I feel I am the luckiest person in Naples that I get to spend my time essentially on vacation with my guests for the day and having an awesomely fun time doing so. The interactivity, the curiosity, and the enthusiastic participation of my guests make my job so much more rewarding and fun. Customizing tours to specific interests and locales satisfies my need to constantly be creative. I get so much pleasure from experiencing memorable moments in history, architecture sights, amazing food, old traditions and spectacular views with you. Please join me on an unforgettable adventure you will keep with you for a lifetime. Master's Degree in history and art Licensed tour guide None.

Pompeii and Herculaneum are magical sites. They catches everyone imagination. Two ancient Roman cities that vanished overnight in a volcanic eruption. First we will visit Pompeii that is the biggest of the two; at the time of the eruption it was a busy commercial town We'll walk on 2000 years old streets, admiring stunning public buildings like the well-preserved theatres' area, the richly decorated public thermal baths and the Foro (the main square). After Pompeii we will reach Herculaneum. It is small at least compared with Pompeii, but in quality, it has no match. Most of all thanks to the extensive preservation at Herculaneum of organic material, principally wood, but also buildings upper floor, foodstuff, papyrus and cloths. One of the appeals of Herculaneum lies in being smaller and quieter. But the cities are also the stories of the people who died during the eruption. And if you want in between the two tours you can enjoy a wine tasting in a great location on Mount Vesuvio.
Barbara was simply amazing!!! Her communication prior to the tour was perfect and when I struggled to buy some tickets she was extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our day with her. She gave us the perfect opportunity to explore both Pompeii and the Herculaneum ruins. She arranged for a comfortable van to pick us up at the port and bring us back. We enjoyed the day with Barbara. I highly recommend touring with her. Thank you.
With Barbara as our guide (and with her excellent driver), our full-day private tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum was fabulous! We started in Pompeii, where we walked the ancient streets and saw the public buildings, baths, theater area, Forum, plus so much more. The route and stops were tailored to our interests. Along the way, Barbara shared many interesting details, reflecting her immense knowledge of the site and her training in archeology. She knew how to navigate the large tour group crowds so we could move around efficiently and avoid lines. We spent the afternoon in Herculaneum, which was a contrast to Pompeii and so fascinating. She had a wealth of knowledge about the site, and we learned so much from her. I would not hesitate to have her as our tour guide again on future trips. Highly recommended.
What a great day. Barbara is so smart, knowledgeable, engaging and just so enjoyable to be with. Thank you so much for an absolutely great day!
Barbara was the best guide! We had an 82 year old with us, with some balance issues. Barbara was terrific in making the tour great for all of us! The tour was well organized and personalized. We learned so much and had such a great time!
We learned so much! The trip to Herculaneum was an incredible adjunct to the trip to Pompeii. It added so much more to our knowledge of the history, culture, artifacts, architecture and artwork. Barbara was an amazing guide. She knew all the best places and how to navigate around the huge crowds to see the most important places and things. I highly recommend a private tour. The one we took 2 years ago as a shore excursion from the boat was way too brief, rushed, and superficial. Barbara showed us so much more and pointed out so many details we missed the first time. And the addition of Herculaneum was a true highlight of the trip. Be prepared for lots of walking on uneven surfaces and a fair number of stairs.
Barbara was an excellent guide. She and the driver were very accommodating after I provided the wrong pickup address. I would recommended Barbara for your tour. She was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
