Ciao! My name is Chiara, and I want to welcome you to my corner of Italy, the incredible region around Pompeii, the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. For me, being a guide isn't just a job; it's a passion I've pursued for over a decade. I started guiding for charities back in 2010 and have been a fully licensed guide since 2015. But my love for this area goes even deeper. As a teacher of Italian language and culture, I believe that to truly understand a place, you have to see it through the eyes of a local and explore its hidden stories. My mission is to take you beyond the typical tourist trails. I specialize in the lesser-known but equally fascinating archaeological sites that most visitors miss. Secluded Roman villas with stunning frescoes, quiet museums holding priceless artifacts, and panoramic spots that tell the full story of life before Vesuvius erupted. Imagine walking through an ancient villa almost entirely by yourselves! That's the kind of unique, personal experience I love to create. My tours are more like a conversation than a lecture. I want you to feel connected to the history, ask questions, and truly immerse yourself in the ancient world. I love crafting custom itineraries tailored to your interests, whether you're a history buff, a family with curious kids, or someone simply looking to escape the crowds. Whether you're visiting for a day off a cruise ship or staying for a week, I'm excited to design the perfect adventure for you.

On this tour, we will explore one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the world, a marvellous place which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage listings. Although it is not as famous as Pompeii, Herculaneum was buried due to the same volcanic eruption, with the significant difference that Herculaneum's structures survived in much better shape. These buildings allow us to see wooden furniture, and present a number of different floors, which is not the case for Pompeii's buildings. Together we'll marvel at incredibly well-preserved millenary frescoes, mosaics and ancient artifacts. Please bring a valid ID which could be requested to enter certain sites, and kindly refrain from using flip-flops since they wouldn't be suitable for our exploration. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are encouraged. If you book for the summer, I also suggest wearing a hat and sun protection. Rest assured I commit to deliver this tour come rain or come shine.
The following itinerary can change in agreement with you: -After passing through the Archeological Site entrance, I will lead you exploring the ruins of the amazing ancient town of Herculaneum, passing by the following places: ·Ancient beach and fornices of the fugitives ·Terrace of Nonio Balbo ·House of the Telephus relief ·House of the stags ·Palaestra ·House of the bicentenary ·Workshop of the metalworker ·Ad cucumas tavern ·House of the black saloon ·Sacellum of The Augustales ·Central baths ·House of Neptune & Anphitrite ·House of the wooden screen ·Thermopolium ·House of the skeleton ·House of the hotel -After covering these landmarks, I'll lead you on a guided tour of the Antiquarium Museum and the Boat Pavilion that house a fine selection of objects discovered in Herculaneum. -Finally, we will go back to the entrance and say our goodbyes.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
