Ciao! My name is Gaetano , and I'm your Professional tour leader & hiking guide in the breathtaking regions of Southern Italy: the Amalfi Coast, and the Cilento area. Growing up in the small town of Cava de' Tirreni, surrounded by mountains and a few minutes away from the Amalfi Coast, nature became an integral part of my life from an early age. My passion for the outdoors, coupled with a deep love for my homeland's culture and history, led me to pursue a career in Tourism. After completing my education in Political Sciences, I traveled extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, as well as Central and South America. After seven years leading overland tours on the five Continents, winning a Silver Award at the 2011 Wanderlust World Guide Awards, and three years guiding in Europe, I decided to move back home and guide tourists in Southern Italy. My mission is to create authentic, meaningful connections between my guests and the natural wonders of Southern Italy. In fact, I can create tailor-made itineraries, with local experiences, according to your needs. Safety is always a top priority, and I ensure that every excursion is tailored to the group's abilities and interests, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Our 4-day Trekking Amalfi Coast will let you discover the beauties of the area, away from the crowd and traffic. We will hike along mountain paths and old mule tracks that connect all the villages and towns of the Amalfi Coast. This is an itinerary designed for you to visit and get to know the Amalfi Coast on foot. Walk through paths used for centuries to transport goods and food from one village to another, to sell the produce of the land in the markets. We will go from a town in the mountains to a seaside village; we will know the history of these places, that have seen the passage of European and Mediterranean civilizations; without forgetting one of the most important moments of every trip: food and wine!
