I was born and raised here in Livorno, the sea gateway to Tuscany. I organize tours all over the region and transfers all over Italy. I cater mainly, but not only, to cruise guests who have limited time to spend ashore. I have designed some private tours geared on them, to allow the clients to visit the Tuscany highlights and "off the beaten path" destinations too. Although I am not a licensed guide and I cannot take people inside museums, I am able to deliver a commentary giving basic informations about the places you are going to visit. The tour includes roundtrip transportation and english speaking driver-guide. I arrange cycling tours as well! I provide top notch hybrid or road bikes, me as english speaking guide, helmets, transportation to the tour starting point and back to the ship. I also provide transfers all over Italy to or from any Tuscany's destinations. I have a License for driving people on a minivan, and for delivering cycling tours as well. I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside historical monuments or museums.

Overview of your La Spezia tour

The Chianti is one of the oldest Italy's wine district, in the middle of Tuscany region. It is one of the most picturesque Italy's area, made of rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves, as wine and olive oil are the main crops here. Here stands small old villages deeply related to the life and productions of the countryside. On this tour we will drive through the heart of the region with a visit in one of the oldest winery, where you can taste the wines with local produces as salami, cheese, wild boar etc. Different options are possible: from a simple wine tasting to a complete meal. The visit is lead by an english speaking local guide who will explain the wine making process, with visit to the the cellars, vineyard and others facilities.

Leonardo was a wonderful guide and highly exceeded our expectations. He educated us on the area and spent time explaining the significant history of the sites along our tour route. He is an excellent driver who is also prompt and courteous. The winery he chose was fantastic. He costumized the trip we chose to add in a stop at San Gimignano along with the Tuscany wine district that was the basis for the tour. He even added in an extra special stop in Pisa. His vehicle was clean and comfortable for our party of 6. I would highly recommend him and his tours and will definitely use him for our next trip this area.

Make sure you book this trip with Leonardo. Also make sure you request the wine tour at the Chianti winery. It is most memorable and one you will not forget. The drive to the winery was beautiful. Leonardo recommended this stop with lunch included and I am so glad we took his advice. Book this tour it will be in your memory for a long time and make you fall in love with Tuscany.

Leonardo was suburb, when he picked us up at the port then driving us out to Chianti winery in time for our tour at the winery. The winery that Leonardo selected to take us to was completely "AWESOME". the entire group of 8 of us was just blow away from the views we saw from this winery. Leonardo's knowledge of the area, sites, and the country was amazing, he was very informant and was able to answer any and all of our questions. We all would recommend him very highly.

Your La Spezia tour itinerary

Pick up at La Spezia Port. -2 hoursdrive through the harth of the region with a visit in one of the oldest winery, where you can taste the wines with local produces as salami, cheese, wild boar etc. 2/3 hours winery visit; it is lead by an english speaking local guide who will explain the wine making process, with visit to the the cellars, vineyard and others facilities. -2 hours drive back to port then, different options are possible: - simple wine tasting. - complete meal. *** According to the time spent on the winery, it is possible to add a short visit to Florence or Pisa to see the Leaning Tower. If interested in this additional feature, I will set up a customized tour at a little different price *** Drop off at La Spezia Port
