Bari Half Day Walking Tour

Ready for an adventure in Bari? Join me for a lively walking tour where we’ll soak up its culture, discuss its rich history and indulge in its traditional focaccia, so good it’ll have you coming back for more! On a personal note, I actually obtained my Bachelor's Degree from University of Bari, so I spent a few years coming here every single day! Together we’ll explore the medieval old town of Bari, known as Arco Basso. We'll stroll through its charming narrow streets as we stop to enjoy samples of local culinary specialties. One of my favourite virtues of Bari is that, dissimilar to other cities, its citizens have deeply maintained their traditions from their past generations, including making pasta outside of their houses, due to the fact that they live in small houses with many family members.

-After we've met, we'll reach Via della Pasta, the main road of Old Town Bari (Arco Basso), where you could speak to the local women that specialize in making it, and from where you could also buy pasta to take back with you. -As we explore, you'll notice that the doors of the houses are not closed, due to the welcoming nature of the citizens, who often sing and dance outside in the evening. -We'll then reach the Albicocca Square, an emblematic place of local gathering. -Next, we'll step inside a Focacceria where you'll get to savour the famous Bari-style focaccia, paired with a glass of red wine or beer. -We'll finish the tour reaching the Mercantile Square, where we’ll enjoy a special coffee and a typical local pastry called “pasticciotto” — a delicious treat you won’t forget!
