A perfect day. The highlight of our trip to Puglia. Very educational. Our guide couldn't have done a better job. None of us will ever look at Mozzarella the same again.

Discover and enjoy the authentic Puglia. Welcome in Puglia (or Apulia): the sunny and windy "heel of the Italian boot". We are Italy's easternmost region, right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea with culture and traditions that are the results of several different dominations, cultural and economic influences. First of all I'm a traveler (for leisure and work) and I like to discover foreign countries and their culture, traditions, food, people, etc. I have been working in tourism since 1998 as travel designer, event organizer, licensed tourist guide, nature (hike and bike) and interpretive guide, tour leader, food and wine lover (olive oil taster, wine sommelier). I'm passionate about my region and I like to share our amazing attractions and culture with other people. Puglia is an "easy region": the weather is quite warm all year long (the best time to come is from March to November but it's worth to come also in winter time), people is friendly (… but only a few people speaks English or another foreign language), there are always lots of events and things to do and our Mediterranean diet is healthy and tasty for everybody (amazing choice of tasty meat, fish, pasta, rice, legumes, vegetables and fruit recipes). Travelers who come for the first time in Puglia usually are fascinated by the Puglian daylight and the colours of the seaside and the countryside. I'll share with you the soul of Puglia, its culture, traditions, flavors, nature, scent, vibes . . . If you're looking for an hyper detailed and boring visit I'm not the tour guide for you but if you like a friendly and easy going person who will make his best, thanks to his experience and empathy, to understand and satisfy your needs, to suggest the right choices matching with your interests, to introduce in our culture and traditions, to help you in spending a very nice time … then contact me. I'm a licensed tour guide, nature (hike and bike) guide, environmental educator; wine sommelier, certified olive oil taster, tour leader. Education and training: University degree with experimental final essay (with photographic appendix) in Geography about Apulian rural buildings (masseria, villa, trullo); Master in Tourism Economics and Management; Professional training courses: tour guide, nature and interpretive guide, environmental educator, bike guide, bicycle mechanic, BLSD (Basic Life Support Defibrillation), inclusive and accessible tourism; Cooking, wine and extra virgin olive oil tasting classes; Workshop about recognition of Apulian wild orchids; Photography's workshop about show and Entertainment, nature. PLEASE WRITE ME BEFORE BOOKING (this way we will be sure the tour will match perfectly your needs in terms of price, service included, date, start time, duration, etc.). THIS WAY IS EASIER AND FASTER FOR YOU AND ME.

As if we were painters, we expertly mix the different colors that characterize Puglia to create an overall picture of this wonderful region: the blue of the sky and the seaside, the green of the countryside, the grey of the stones, the white of the houses, the rubby red of the wines. Sightseeing in the charming Locotorondo, the fabulous Alberobello with its trulli (a unique kind of ancient corbelled dry stone conical roof dwellings), the romantic Polignano a Mare (the birthplace of Domenico Modugno the co-author and singer of the world famous song "volare … nel blu dipinto di blu … oh oh oh oh "). A unique experience to visit a family run farmstead to learn the traditional cheese (mozzarella and burrata) making process and to enjoy a yummy farm to table lunch. Thanks to my long-standing experience as tour guide, nature guide, wine and evo sommelier I've designed for you an amazing and tasty day!
A perfect day. The highlight of our trip to Puglia. Very educational. Our guide couldn't have done a better job. None of us will ever look at Mozzarella the same again.
Alessandro Was a wonderful guide and out of the Port of Bari filled a day of wonderful sights and (fabulous farm tour, mozzarella making, and farm lunch) all on an Easter Sunday. He knew all the perfect view points for all of the fabulous things to see.
This was day 2 of five planned tours with Alessandro. Everything about day 1 was perfect. Now we were certain that my stolen luggage was never going to be returned, at least with my clothes. And we knew that shops in Puglia close from 1:30 - 4:30 pm, limiting our window. So he added a stop for shopping at several boutique shops. The tour itself was as amazing as the first day. He really has vast knowledge, is a highly experienced guide, and a fun person on top of it all. He lays out each day in a way that makes total sense and works very well -- showing both his experience and his listening skills about what we most wanted to experience.
Allessandro is an excellent tour guide - the very best!!! He gave us great insight into the history and beauty of Puglia. He's extremely knowledgeable on all the areas we visited, good English language skills - very easy to understand, great personality, catered to our specific wishes - picking us up both days at our Ostuni Masseria and even giving us extra time for personal shopping. We couldn't have chosen a better guide to really show us the best of Alberobello, Polignano a Mare and especially Matera.
Had a great day! Everything was perfect and easily accommodated our requests. Highly recommend Alessandro.
Okay what can we say. Alessandro was an amazing guide. We were enjoying a wonderful afternoon with him seeing the small towns of Puglia, when suddenly the day turned. I slipped and fell on some wet cobblestones and broke my leg/ankle at about 5:30 pm on Saturday. Alessandro went with us to the hospital and stayed with me the whole 6 hour ordeal and then moved us from our lovely upstairs Accomodations to a hotel in a larger city. I can't even list all he did, stayed with us until 12:30 am. Above and beyond
- In Alberobello we will enjoy the two old districts (Aia Piccola and Monti) declared, in 1996, world heritage site by Unesco. There we will visit the interior of some of the 1. 500 trulli located in the village to learn about their history, legends, architecture, the mystery and symbolism of their pinnacles (finials). - Visit to a dairy farm with cheese (mozzarella and burrata) making demostration and farm to table lunch with local delicacies. - A stroll in Locotorondo (the round town because of the circular layout of its historic city center): listed as one of the most beautiful hamlet in Italy with its terrific skyline, the "cummerse" (a typical architecture characterized by a stone triangular roofs), the breathtaking view of Itria Valley. - Polignano a Mare with its lively and picturesque historic city center, the stunning seaview from the terraces up on the cliffs, the bridge along an old roman road overlooking the iconic beach of Lama Monachile. We can personalize the tour as you like.
