Overview of your Bari tour
Alberobello is known as the City of Trulli, a unique kind of buildings with stone conical roofs without any mortar, that have survived quite intact and functioning into the modern world. This is why they are UNESCO HERITAGE. There are two ways to visit Alberobello: the classic tourist itinerary and a tour with a private guide. After more then 7 years leading tours in Alberobello, I can tell you that the best way is to let yourself be led through the non-touristic alleys of the trulli area, where everyone knows me and often invites me to come into their house to tell me how their day in the countryside went or what they will cook for lunch. It often happens that they invite us for a coffee or a glass of wine and, why not, also to play some Apulian popular music together.

I can’t imagine a better tour guide than Giorgio! Alberobello is a bit “over-loved” and Giorgio, a local, made it authentic and interesting. We were a family group of 8 and he handled the logistics perfectly. We learned so much, but Giorgio was also funny and engaging. He even gave us pointers about other Puglian towns and insider tips. We all agreed that we wouldn’t have enjoyed Alberobello nearly as much if we hadn’t been with Giorgio! 5 out of 5!

We (group of 6 ladies) had a great day with Giorgo visiting Alberobello and Polignano a Mare in Puglia. Giorgo is very knowledgeable and friendly and does everything he can to deliver the best experience to his guests! He took us off the beaten paths and showed us special things. He also showed us where to get a great coffee and eat the best Burrata in the world. We definitely recommend him! Giorgo speaks very good English and French. (Besides Italian)

We had a very nice tour of this unique city with Giorgio who explained the history and purpose of the trulli buildings. Giorgio is an excellent guide. He took the opportunity to introduce us to locals that he knew and made the whole experience very rich. He is passionate about Italy and the city of Alberobello and is fun to be with on this tour. Giorgio also gave us tips on what to do and see elsewhere in Puglia and recommended great restaurants! He also does excellent tours elsewhere in Puglia.

Your Bari tour itinerary
Transportation from Bari is not included. We will meet in Alberobello. We will visit the two trulli areas of Alberobello: - Rione Monti - Aia Piccola. The two districts are profoundly different from each other, as the first is highly touristic and the second totally populated by local people who still live in the trulli. Our experience will focus in the second one. We will visit only a part of the tourist area to be able to participate in an interesting tasting of typical Apulian products and the famous extra virgin olive oil. I can customize this tour if you have special requests. Please contact me.
