During this walking tour in the old town, we will visit the most picturesque corners and the main attractions of the city, stopping in the markets to taste some local food. Then, we will be guests at the home of a lady of the old town. She will show us how to handmade the most famous Apulian fresh pasta, called Orecchiette! Can you do the same as her? I've been trying to become good at making pasta for over ten years, but every time I try I think that, after all, I'm much better at eating!
We had a great tour with Giorgio! He was very friendly, great English and very knowledgeable about Bari! We even got to try making orecchiette pasta with Anna. She was very patient with us and a great teacher! We got to sample many foods of Bari. We visited the fish market on the coast. Very interesting watching how they prepare the octopus to eat. We highly recommend Giorgio as a tour guide!

We had the absolute best tour with Giorgio! To be able to tour Bari with someone who was born and raised there (and still lives there!) is priceless. Walking the streets and listening to the history of the neighborhoods and the people is something we will always cherish. Giorgio has great energy and is so fun to be with! We made fresh oricchiette with a local family and Giorgio translated everything in such a wonderful way. Of course, we didn't want the tour to end! Giorgio was kind enough to walk us to the train station and help us with our tickets - wow! We can say enough about Giorgio and his kindness! If you are in Bari, you must do this tour with Giorgio! Giorgio was a really excellent guide. We learned a lot about current life in Bari and history, and had a lot of food, beer and wine along the way. My entire family enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend him.
Giorgio met us at our hotel and from there we walked the streets of Bari, thru the shopping area to the waterfront, the fish market and old town. We learned to make orecchiette, enjoyed local antipasti and gelato as he explained the history of the old town. It was a delightful afternoon learning about Bari's history. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Giorgio.
