I'm Carlo, an authorized tourist guide for passion. I know Apulia wery well, having studied thoroughly its history, art, tradition, environment and curiosities. I was born in Apulia and always lived here, in a family that always cultivates the study of local history (a hall in the archeological museum of Brindisi is named after my grandfather). I have over ten year of experience as guide. I'm specialized in city tours but I can also make day trip outside the city. I can also customize your tours. Apulia is a charming region that can be visited all year round and is suspended among nature, history, tradition, tastes and spirituality. Apulia offers a wide range of places that testify to the ancient origins of this land: from prehistory to Magna Graecia, from the Imperial Age to the Renaissance and the Baroque splendor. The trulli, for example those of Valle d'Itria, offer an evocative testimony to the rural past of the region. My goal as your guide is to help you fall in love with this region. Please keep in mind that I can plan an itinerary according to your specific needs and wishes and before or after the tour I will be happy to provide you with necessary information and help anytime you need. Come join me and let's explore the amazing Apulia together! - Tourist Guide - qualified in Italian, English and Spanish - "Regione Puglia" Government License. - Law degree

During the BARI WALKING TOUR you will visit the main atractions of the old town. A city rich in millenary history. I particularly love it for its quaint and genuine atmosphere. The tour will begin with the exploration of the picturesque old town, through the testimonies of the medieval era, its cathedral, the basiclica of San Nicola. Finally we will visit together the captivating atmospheres of the port with its fishermen and the new city with its elegant shops and its liberty-style buildings. It will be a pleasant and relaxing walk, full of surprising details.
Great introduction to Bari. Very informative.
Carlo is a wonderful guide. We asked for a quite serious tour of the art and history and he was very knowledgeable. Carlo is also a nice guy with a good sense of humor. He showed a lot of flexibility--adding some Romanesque churches when we saw some earlier and expressed an interest in that. He used his own car for part of the tour, which added to the places we saw. He also recommended a restaurant for us that was not so "touristy" as the ones we found on our own. We have taken a large number of guides on this and similar sites and would put Carlo in the top group.
Carlo is an excellent guide that gives you very special insight into what makes Bari such an interesting place to visit . He is knowledgeable, personable, with a great sense of humor. My wife and I highly recommend him.
Very good guide -- We truly enjoyed our day
Tour of Bari was fine with Carlos although it started out badly as Carlis neglected to inform us that parking in Bar, i at noon on Sunday, where we planned to meet is nearly impossible. We were in contact with Carlo during our search for a parking space but we had difficulty understanding one another and we were on the verge of giving up ( after about 45min) when we spotted Carlos. He was so eager to show us his town and tried very hard to give us a good experience after the rocky start.
Even though this tour was on a Sunday, we had a huge number of things to do. Carlo walked us through the city center, guided us through a very nice museum that we had almost to ourselves, bought us the most amazing Bari-style focaccia, walked us through the Cathedral of San Nicola (including small rooms slightly hidden away), and got us a lunch reservation at a really nice restaurant (when few such places were open).
- Meet at the agreed place to start our tour. - We will walk around: Seaside, Fish market (from 8am to 12 am), Ancient walls, Castello Normanno Svevo, Sparano street (shopping street). - We will pass by: Lovers Square, Castello Normanno Svevo, Arco Basso Street (fresh pasta street), Petruzzelli Theater, Margherita Theater, Ferrarese Square, Mercantile Square. - We will visit inside: Basilica of Saint Nicola (visit), Cathedral, Authentic bakery.
