The Original Connemara Girl – Sharing Ireland, One Story at a Time ☘️ I'm a Connemara girl, born and raised, and if there's one thing we Irish love, it's a good story — preferably shared with good company! For over 20 years, I've been welcoming visitors to Ireland, sharing the landscapes, legends, laughter and little hidden gems that make this country so special. And believe me, there's a lot more to Ireland than green fields, sheep and the occasional drop of rain! Tourism is in my blood! I'm proud to be a fourth-generation driver-guide, following in the footsteps of my family, who have been welcoming travellers to Connemara for generations. I suppose you could say storytelling, exploring and a healthy dose of Irish hospitality are part of the family tradition! My love of guiding began long before I ever held a tour guide qualification. As a student at the beautiful Kylemore Abbey School, I would stand on the bridge overlooking the abbey and dream that one day I'd return, not as a student, but as a guide sharing its magic with visitors from around the world. Following in my family's footsteps felt like the most natural thing in the world. I went on to study Tourism and Eco-Tourism, combining my love for Ireland with a passion for protecting its landscapes, heritage and traditions for future generations. So, what can you expect when you travel with me? Well, for starters, no rushing from one tourist attraction to another just to tick boxes! I believe the real magic of Ireland is often found along the quieter roads, in the stories passed down through generations, in a chance conversation with a local or over a good cup of tea in a cosy village café. Of course, we'll visit the famous sights, but I'll also introduce you to the Ireland I know and love — the hidden corners, fascinating characters, local traditions and breathtaking landscapes that don't always make it into the guidebooks. We'll travel in comfort in a luxury 7-seater vehicle, with plenty of flexibility for photo stops, spontaneous discoveries and perhaps a little Irish mischief along the way! Whether you're visiting Ireland for the first time, tracing your family roots or simply looking to experience something a little different, my aim is to make your day feel less like a tour and more like exploring Ireland with an old friend. After all, anyone can show you the sights. I'd rather share the stories that bring them to life. So, come along, get comfortable and let me introduce you to my Ireland.
