Evening exploration of the medieval city of Galway with your Local Guide

The lively city of Galway has a special feeling due to the long bright nights in the summer. And on the dark winter nights the city is lit up by lights, projections and lighting installations. Even the traditional fishing boats are lit up! We start at Eyre square the focal point of the city and proceed down Shop street to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Latin quarter . Shop street is also home to some of the city's finest medieval buidings. We will then walk along the picturesque river Corrib and cross the river to the Cathedral one of the largest and most impressive buildings in the city. Then we walk through the historic Nun's Island to the Westend a quirky and bohemian area with interesting streets, shops, buildings, pubs and waterways. The Westend has become one of the leading 'foodie' areas of Ireland We will finish the tour at Galway's landmark Spanish arch.
