Welcome to Ireland! I am located in the spectacular West Clare peninsula in Ireland, which is a hidden gem that was awarded European Destination of Excellence (EDEN) in 2010 & voted Irish Times Best Place to Holiday in Ireland. I am positioned in the middle of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, right where the Shannon river meets the Atlantic Ocean, and am close Shannon airport. I come from an Irish rural background, traditional to it's roots, my upbringing was filled with local stories, history and culture. I love to share this part of my history with all my tour groups, and to provide a great understanding of the essence of beautiful Ireland. I provide scenic tours and transportation services along the Wild Atlantic Way and all along the west coast of Ireland. I am excited to take you on a pre-booked scenic day trip and show you this truly magical place. My small and personal tours are ideal for anybody who would like an exceptional day out. I take you to, and collect you from all the local attractions, such as the Loop Head light house, walking tours, dolphin and whale-watching trips, home baking classes, farm tours, golfing activities, campsites and cycling tours or golf tours. Pick ups and drop offs are provided from airports, hotels, restaurants and events. In keeping with the ethos of Loophead Sustainable Tourism, our vehicles are small and have low impact on the environment and I remain mindful at all times to leave no trace. After your visit to the medieval city of the tribes "Galway" take a coastal drive along the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way to Killarney, County Kerry. This will be an interesting fun day as we travel down the west coast of Ireland. Stop at Pouhlnabron ancient burial tomb said to be older than the pyramids or maybe Caherconnell Fort and SheepDog Demonstration. Experience the majestic Cliff of Moher & Visitor Centre Experience Stop for a lovely pub lunch en route, or maybe just tea and scones. We know just the place! As we travel down the coast you are sure the enjoy the west coast of Ireland and the many photo opportunities along the way. Introduction to Killarney National Park and town of Killarney to arrive at your accommodation at 05:30PM Please note that I can make changes to any part of this itinerary.
This was for me personally and Martina could not have planned a better day. She shared all sorts of interesting information and historical facts about the areas we were visiting, offered plenty of stops along the way for photos, yummy food and even shopping! The conversation was delightful and the time flew by. I'm so glad I opted to do this instead of the train. Book the trip with Martina, you won't be disappointed!
An excellent tour of The Wild Atlantic Way by Martina! She took us to a fantastic sheep dog demonstration and was wonderful to suggest entertainment for a night in Tralee. We stopped at a lovely chocolate cafe in The Burren and enjoyed countless views of the Atlantic Coast as well as a beautiful tour of The Cliffs of Moher. Martina's van was comfortable and her descriptions of the sights were so informative!! She even took us into Lahinch for a delicious lunch. Would definitely travel with her again!
Outstanding day trip from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher! Our guide Martina was friendly, customized our visit to our needs and provided one of our best days ever! The weather was even perfect! Driving the spectacular wild Atlantic way, through the Burren and stopping at Hazel Mountain Chocolate factory. Martina provided plenty of history of the area and great conversation. After the Cliffs we stopped at a pub for lunch which was perfect. I absolutely recommend her and hope to visit again!
Not only was Martina very knowledgeable about all things Ireland, she was very accommodating with all request and super friendly as well. We saw so much/ so many things in our days together and got a true flavor Ireland- it was truly a great experience. We would highly recommend Martina and you'll be thrilled if you chose to utilize her services! 5 STARS
