Let me look after you. I promise you a MEMORABLE TOUR from Galway, Mayo and Sigo. First of all thank you for checking my profile! I would love to share my passion for Ireland with you if you decide to take one of my tours. I have been guiding for more than ten years and due to my curiosity, I have an extensive, intense, and profound knowledge of Ireland. I use the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi: "Live like you are going to die tomorrow and learn like you are going to live forever". That's how I constantly keep my tours to a 'gold' standard. I do not regard tourist guiding as work, it's just travelling around my wonderful country with friends, telling stories, singing songs and having fun. I'm not just a tourist guide, I'm an entertainer, a historian and an author. Your day will 'fly by' as you hear stories of Stone Age farmers, St Patrick, The Children of Lir, Rebellion against the British, the Great Famine, the Wild Atlantic Way and why we drive on the 'correct' side of the road. Maybe you might also want to hear about Brexit! Whether it's history, legends or politics I can bring them all alive for you. Of course the most magical thing about Ireland is the magnificent scenery. The landscapes and seascapes are constantly changing on tour and there will be lots of photo-stops along the way. If you want great photos, I will show you where the best shots can be taken. While I have a number of tour options listed, they are not 'set in stone' If you have an item or area of special interest I can plan that for you to ensure that the tour SUITS YOUR NEEDS. Our national poet W. B. Yeats once said, 'Education is not the filling of a bucket, it's the lighting of a fire'. I hope that I can 'light a fire' for Ireland in your hearts that will make you want to return again and again. Thank you for reading all of this. Hopefully it was not too long-winded and I will get to meet you when you come on tour with me. Fourteen kilometres of cliffs rising to 200 metres above the wild Atlantic. The cliffs were formed 320m years ago and the the sea has been pounding on them ever since. From the Cliffs, you get a view of the Arran Islands and lots of sea birds as they use the wind to glide up and down. The tour also takes through the amazing landscape of the Burren, where limestone was exposed due to the action of Neolithic farmers five thousand years ago. According to English General Ludlow in the 1640's, the Burren had not had not enough water to drown a man, not enough wood to hang him or enough soil to bury him. On tour you will see evidence of Neolithic farmers in the ancient portal tomb at Poulnabrone, an icon in Irish tourism publicity. Add to that lots of photo stops, a nice place for lunch and maybe a pint in a local pub and you have a perfect day tour in this part of Ireland. You won't be disappointed.
Leaving from your accommodation or your ship, we will head south and our first stop will be at the Hazel Mountain chocolate factory where you can sample the local delights of have a coffee. The tour continues through the lovely little village of Ballyvaughan and on through the Burren with its unique 'moonscape' of limestone plateaus' and pavements caused by the impact of the first neolithic farmers in this country. The magnificent Cliffs of Moher are next on our itinerary where you will experience the effect of the wild Atlantic waves on this coast of Ireland and admire the view of the Aran Islands famous for their wool sweaters. Along the way I will entertain you with lots of stories and maybe a song or two. I am flexible so If there are any items of interest to you, I can include them on the tour. I look forward to giving you an interesting and entertaining tour.

Transportation is by a top of the range Land Rover Discovery 7 seater. However, I always limit capacity to five clients to ensure maximum comfort. The Discovery is a very comfortable SUV which due to its height allows a panoramic view of the spectacular scenery during the tour.
