Welcome to Ireland and my Profile! I am so excited to show you My Ireland. I am a native of Galway in the west of Ireland and am the youngest in a family of eleven. Mine was a traditional Irish upbringing full of stories and legends of Ireland My father Stephen was a keen deep sea diver and as a girl I travelled the length and breadth of Ireland from Donegal to Waterford with my father and The Galway Sub Aqua Club, it is here that my passion for Ireland began. As a local guide (Fáilte Ireland acredited, fully licenced & insured) I would love to show you, your friends & family around my beautiful country. I worked in hotel management for many years and while I loved my job it was here that I realised that my passion is for people! I have amazing people, listening and communication skills, and I am dedicated to ensuring a really excellent travel experience for all who visit the Emerald Isle. I am passionate about tourism and travel and can't wait to show you my Ireland. Explore the savage beauty of the island of Inis Meáin. This is the middle of the Aran Island and is also the least visited of the three Aran Islands. It is my personal favorite! On this tour I offer walking tours of 14km, this is just a guideline, we can walk as little or a much as you would like.
Julia’s ability to guide us on this unique island was most impressive as nothing is marked. She has a thorough knowledge of every aspect of life here as she grew up visiting Inishmaan. She’s a terrific guide and wonderful to spend the day with. We hired her for three tours all together!
Our time with Julia on Inis Meain was an absolute highlight of our time in Ireland. She was very attuned to our interests in mythology, local lore and history and she was an amazing storyteller! She seemed to know the local people and customs of Inish Meain, as well as being a fluent Irish speaker which made the time really special. Our hike with her was spectacular and she paced it well, according to our needs. I would recommend Julia to anyone with an interest in local Irish culture.
Julia's walking tour of the InishMaann island was beautiful! She is friendly and knowledgeable. We throughly enjoyed the day looking at the ruins of ancient times the beautiful scenery and hearing about history and mythology.
- Pick up at 09:15am from accommodation - Travel to Rossaveal Ferry Port - Ferry time approx 50min - Arrive on Inis Meáin at 11:20 - - We will visit Synge's Chair, a stunning viewing point at the edge of a sheer limestone cliff - After that we will head to Dún Chonchúir, this is a spectacular stone fort - We will then pass Teampaill na Seacht Mac Rí . This church ruin was an important place of pilgrimage in the past and the saint is said to be buried beside the church. - Visit the ruins of Cill Cheannannach church built nearly 1, 200 years ago and Dún Fearbhaí Fort, the more neglected of the two forts on the island. We will also see beehive huts and visit the Knitwear Factory. We will stop for lunch in the only place available on the island, Teach Óstan - Ferry leaves at 16. 30pm - Arrive to Rossaveal approx 17. 20pm and travel on to Galway City

I will drive the tour myself in a Luxury Climate Controlled, top of the range Land Rover Discovery 7 seater with leather seats. Ferry tickets are €30 per person and are paid separately. PLEASE NOTE: This tour is priced for 3 passengers. There is a €75 per person charge thereafter.
