Welcome to Ireland and my Profile! I am so excited to show you My Ireland. I am a native of Galway in the west of Ireland and am the youngest in a family of eleven. Mine was a traditional Irish upbringing full of stories and legends of Ireland My father Stephen was a keen deep sea diver and as a girl I travelled the length and breadth of Ireland from Donegal to Waterford with my father and The Galway Sub Aqua Club, it is here that my passion for Ireland began. As a local guide (Fáilte Ireland acredited, fully licenced & insured) I would love to show you, your friends & family around my beautiful country. I worked in hotel management for many years and while I loved my job it was here that I realised that my passion is for people! I have amazing people, listening and communication skills, and I am dedicated to ensuring a really excellent travel experience for all who visit the Emerald Isle. During this fully guided day tour to the Majestic Cliffs of Moher I will take you from Galway on a coastal drive along the Wild Atlantic Way, through the Burren and up to Hags Head. En route, you will pass medieval castles, beautiful villages, fields of dry stone walls and amazing coastal views. I will entertain you with insights into the geology, history and stories of the landscapes in view. View the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher which are a UNESCO recognized site. We will have a 3 hour stop here to allow for the coastal cliff walk, beginning at Hag's Head and finishing at Doolin Village. Enjoy lunch in a traditional Irish Pub in Co. Clare where some of Irelands most famous musicians have played there lively renditions.
This was the second your day we spent with the illustrious Julia and I can’t say enough good things about our adventure. Aside from being extremely knowledgeable about the area and its rich history, she has an amazing storytelling gift. We thoroughly enjoyed the personal touch.
I've had many private tours, both with Tours by Locals and other organizations, and I'd have to rate Julia as one of the best. She has a wonderful grasp of Irish history and explained it to us in a most interesting way. Combining that with her wonderful sense of humor, experiences of her own travelling and working around the world and her deep love for her native land made for a wonderful tour.
