Wonders of County Wicklow - Private Day Trip from Dublin

Leaving Dublin and driving along the coast we will soon be transported to County Wicklow an area of outstanding natural beauty and known to locals as the Garden of Ireland. On this day trip you will visit Powerscourt Gardens, voted one of the most spectacular gardens in the world by National Geographic. A drive through the countryside follows followed by a visit to Glendalough, a historic monastic city dating back to the 6th Century. You will learn about the significance of this special place and why Ireland is referred to as the land of Saints & Scholars. The day is yours so so sit back relax as we take in more breathtaking scenery on the way back to Dublin.

Because I specialise in one day bespoke tours from Dublin your tour will always be with myself. I will personally pick up from your hotel driving through the outskirts of Dublin and in less than one hour we will be in the heart of Co Wicklow. On the way we will pass through the pretty seaside Dublin Villages home to many famous Irish people and we will even spend some time at Dublin's own Bay of Naples! Below is an idea of the itinerary for the day: 9. 00am Pick up from Hotel 10. 15 Arrive at Powerscourt Gardens for a self guided visit. There is time to shop in the beautiful Avoca shop and experience their delightful home produce. 11. 45 Depart Powerscourt stopping at the famous Lough Tay (known locally as the Guinness Lake). 1. 00 Arrive at a county pub for a traditional Irish Lunch. 2. 15 Arrive at Historic Glendalough for a Guided Visit by myself.
