Hello there. I love history, driving and talking so it is no surprise I offer a luxury historical touring service. I have a Masters degree in Medieval Studies and I am a Failte Ireland accredited tour guide. My company is a Dublin Tourism Partner and I have provided press tours for visiting journalists on behalf of Failte Ireland and Dublin Tourism. I am the longest serving and the highest rated driver-guide in Dublin on ToursByLocals. I have been reviewed favourably by some of the biggest newspapers and magazines in the business. (Die Welt, VG, Volkswagen Travel magazine, Vogue). I have also worked on television travel documentaries dealing with Dublin, appeared in some of them and have even provided an open topped bus tour for the Australian X-Factor TV program. I love my city and my country and I like to share this knowledge and passion with visitors. Although Ireland is a small country we are lucky to have so much to see and do and the people are not too bad either! Certificate of Excellence 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 My company was a winner at the Luxury Travel Awards Europe 2016 "Unique Experience of the Year" Failte Ireland accredited Tour Guide. Honours Masters Degree in Medieval History. Dublin Tourism Partner. Member of The Georgian Society of Ireland. Small Public Service Vehicle Licence Holder

Today you will take the 2-hour drive north from Dublin to visit Belfast City. You will stop along the way to visit the ancient monastic site of Monasterboice to see the medieval Celtic High Crosses and the Round Tower there. Belfast is the second largest city in Ireland and is undergoing an impressive rebirth after the tumultuous times of the 30+ years conflict known as "The Troubles". It is now a modern, vibrant and thriving city. On your tour you would visit the famous murals which illustrate the culture and history of the Nationalist and Unionist traditions that coexist within the North of Ireland. Learn about how they have evolved since the "Troubles" and now illustrate the progress that has been made since the war ended after the Good Friday Agreement. You will also get to visit the "Peace Wall" that divides the two communities. Then it is off to visit the Titanic Quarter and the world-class Titanic Exhibition, driving through the city centre of Belfast as you do so. .
