My name is Gerard I have been tour guiding since 2019. My background was in hospitality: I started my career off as a chef and worked in many hotels around the world. I have also been a countrywide sales representative and on my evenings off I would drive around the countryside in the county I was staying in that day, hence I got to know all the hidden treasures off the beaten track. With this knowledge I was able to transfer these skills into tour guiding. I have completed over 250 tours of Ireland. I bring to the tour my enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge of the best places in Ireland to visit. I will bring you to places the buses can not go and you will experience the craic and the people of Ireland and how we live on the Emerald Isle. My passions include Sea swimming all year round even in the cold temperatures. I am an amateur photographer and you will see me taking photos of the beautiful scenery. Recently I have taken up the hobby of Drone videography and I produce short movies of the places and landmarks I visit and put them up on youtube and this in turn gives the client an extra memory of their visit. This has become very useful when it comes to genealogy as I can capture homesteads and land not accessible by foot and they have a video to take home with them. I love showing off our little country, when I guiding and I have been told in the past I never stop talking about all the interesting places I visit and I would like you all to have the experience also. Every tour is different and we can work together and look at the itinerary and discuss what you want as a client and work with you so you get the experience of a lifetime. I am a member of the National Chauffeur Drivers association of ireland Full Irish driving licence Full Irish SPSV (Public Service Vehicle Licence) I am currently studying to guide in certain landmarks and historical building around the country, but most of these landmarks do their own tours themselves they are mostly self-guiding. I am a driver Guide and i will be with you for the tour.
