The Wicklow area of Ireland is south east of Dublin and is called the Garden County of Ireland for good reason. Absolutely magical tour with Derek! He tweaked one of set tours to get in a special stop I wanted to make. He was also extremely accommodating to my desire to take photos along the way! We got an incredible taste of Ireland in a day! Highly recommend!
Derek did a great job providing us with a custom designed tour that met all expectations. He was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. He added extras into the itinerary which added to the experience.
This was the second tour we took with Derek as our guide. It was beautiful! . The day was a cold, blustery one, but the beautiful places we saw made us soon forget the weather. All passengers, eight in all, were very comfortable in the vehicle and enjoyed his expertise. When we return to Ireland we will happily engage ToursByLocals and Derek again.
Derek S was our guide. We all thought that he was very professional, knowledgeable, kind and an extremely courteous man! He took us to Glendalough, Guinness Lake, and all of the surrounding areas. We ended our tour at Malahide Castle. It was an amazing day! We would highly recommend Derek trip anyone!
We spent our last day in Ireland traveling the favorite roads of the Wicklow Mountains of Derek's and the views were beautiful. Our favorite stop was the introduction to the Avoca Mill. The gardens at Powerscourt were lovely. It was the perfect ending to our 14 days in Ireland!
My group thoroughly enjoyed Derek as he is thoroughly knowledgeable about the area and provided wonderful company on our tour. Derek was also flexible in allowing us to customize the itinerary. Glendalough was as beautiful! We loved the opportunity to shop at Avoca Handweavers as we had little time in the rest of our Ireland visit to shop for artisan crafts. I would recommend Derek and this tour without reservation. Hope to be able to do it again! Amazing!!
-I will collect you from your collection point at an arranged time. -From there we will drive through the Wicklow Mountains (weather permitting). The Wicklow mountains offer spectacular views and stunning Glacial Lakes Such as the Guinness Lake. Our first stop will be GLENDALOUGH, where you will visit the Monastic City and a walk up too the Upper Lake. -Our next stop will be The Avoca Hand Weavers which is the Oldest Hand Weavers in Ireland dating back to 1723. You will take the Mill Tour and get time to look around the Avoca Hand weavers Gift and Craft Shop. We can also stop for lunch there. -Our final Stop will be POWERSCOURT House and Gardens, With Stunning Gardens and Spectacular Scenery it is a must see. Also an Option For a Sheepdog Demonstration in the Beautiful Wicklow Mountains. -I will the Return you too your pick up point.
