Hello, Namaskara. . . Welcome to my city Mangalore. By profession, I am a Civil Engineer/Architect but I like travelling a lot. As I was born and grown up in this city, I know almost everything, all the nooks and corners of it. Overview of your Mangalore tour
This tour will immerse you in Mangalore's heritage. All the temples and churches which I show you are ancient places, some slightly renovated. Each place's architecture and finishes are different. You can witness the best craftsmanship in all these places: * Kadri Manjunatha temple - one of the oldest Lord Shiva Temple. You can see the bronze idol of Lord Lokeshwar (Brahma), which is the oldest of the South Indian temples. * St. Aloysius College Chapel - built in 1884. The chapel is majestic and the interiors are picturesque with its paintings and architecture. * St. Milagres Church - one of the oldest churches in Mangalore, built in 1680. * Kudroli Shri Gokarnatheshwara temple - an old temple renovated in 2012. The main sanctum remains the same. * Uchila Shri Mahalaxmi Temple - it's marvelous wood work and stone work.

St. Aloysius College Chapel, famous for fresco painting by Jesuit priest Antony Moscheni (1899-1900) - about 1 hour. 3. St. Milagres Church - about 1 hour. 4. Kudroli Shri Gokarnatheshwara temple, built in South Indian style - about 1 hour. 5. Lunch - about 1. 5 hours 6. Uchila Shri Mahalaxmi Temple - about 2.5 hours. 7. If we have enough time, we can drive through the city centre to see some smaller and older shrines which are on the way . All these will be planned according to your timings. The tour is customisable.
