My name is Kerstin and as a lifelong Berliner I have witnessed the Fall of the Wall and the reunification of Germany. I would feel happy to share with you this historical experience. Grown up and raised in former East Berlin I offer you my first-hand impressions about East and West joining each other. The dramatic changes 30 years ago meant a great chance to develop my passion for art and history in freedom. Berlin without Potsdam is like Paris without Versailles! And Potsdam is a must for history buffs! You will learn so much not only about German History at authentic places like Cecilienhof Palace and the Bridge of spies. A real unique unforgettable experience is the 7-Lakes-Boat-Tour with your own-chartered yacht. Fantastic castles and romantic parks are strung together like pearls - Babelsberg, Glienicke, Cecilienhof and the gardens on the Peacock Island are just a few. Then there are numerous sailing clubs, the elegant residential neighborhoods right on the lake but also House of the Wannsee Conference. From the water perspective you will see the villa and charming garden of the famous painter Max Liebermann. Potsdam & surroundings at its best - unforgettable!
Our group of 7 Americans cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed this tour…as well as Kerstin and her wonderful husband. She was very knowledgeable, fun and extremely accommodating to us and believe me that was a task in and of itself. I wished we would have booked her for our entire time in Berlin!!

I have an interest in Cold War history, and I wished to visit a number of sites related to this era. And I hoped to not only see these places up close, I wanted to do so with someone had personal knowledge of the times. I provided Kerstin a list of my priorities, she added to it, and made an outstanding two-day itinerary that exceeded our expectations. The background and insights Kerstin provided were very helpful in understanding why certain things occurred as they did. We are happy in every respect.
No visit to Berlin would be complete without visiting Potsdam. It is both of historical significance and natural beauty. We would have bypassed Potsdam and missed out on a great place of beauty and significance had it not been for Kerstin's suggestion that we set aside a day to go and visit Potsdam. Thank you, Kerstin.
