Welcome to Paris! Bienvenue à Paris! I'm Romeo, but not the Shakesperian one: in the italian version of the Aristocats, Thomas O'Malley is called instead Romeo. So you can understand that being in Paris and because I love jazz music, I'm more the Aristocats one! Born in the middle of nowhere in a tiny village in the Italian Alps, I moved to Venice to study History and Philosohy at the Ca'Foscari University of Venice. Later on, I moved to Rome for my master's degree and while studying there I took a very innocent decision: finish my studies with an exchange program in Paris, a dream I had been cultivating for years. I was meant to stay just for 6 months here at La Ville Lumière according to the contract with the university.. but instead I never returned! I always say in a funny way that I shouldn't be here! Paris enchanted me, I was "violently smitten" (as Thomas Jefferson said) by its beauty and entirely charmed by the lifestyle of this big, bustling metropolis. From a tiny village to one of the most famous cities in the world, it has been quite a voyage! But if you're wondering: yes, I finished my studies and got my master's, don't worry! My adventure as a guide started informally since I always had people visiting me in the cities I lived. When I arrived in Paris I started guiding as soon as the first month, just as a student job. I didn't know I would become so passionate about it, making it my full time job. But if you are in love with history and a city, this job is probably the most natural evolution of that. Three years later the day I disembarked in the City of Lights, I became an official and licensed tour guide. Now I guide in museums and outside, I guide people in Normandy and I cannot ask anything more. I can't wait to show you the city that never fails to amaze and surprise me. I'll show you Paris from the eyes of an historian, providing you an immersive narration that will bring you back in time. In the city of grand monuments I'll also bring your focus on the tiny details, those that tell great stories. Together, we'll explore the unique personality of a city that changed the world, diving in its culture, the arts, the people. Be careful, however: being guided by somebody extraordinarily passionately in love with this city may have the side effect that you'll fall in love with it too. Be sure to book your return ticket otherwise you'll stay here forever like me! Some practical informations: - The tours you see can be 100% personalized based on your needs and preferences, just write me! - Be careful where you eat! As a general rule, I tend to avoid the Latin Quarter and Montmarte. There are of course exceptions there, but mostly its tourist traps. - Best way to move around the city? Just bike! - Best months to visit? For outdoor activities early June and late September, for indoor its late January/early February. - If you need any information or recommendation, just write me!

This full-day tour is the perfect introduction to Paris — a journey through the city’s history, architecture, and culture. Also great if you want to take down the highlights in one day! Chronologically, we trace the great moments that shaped Paris, from its origins to the present day. Think of it as the ABCs: simple, clear, and essential — the foundation for understanding and appreciating everything else you will discover here! In the morning, we begin with the origins and the Middle Ages. On the Île de la Cité, we retrace the birth of Paris, visiting the iconic Notre-Dame and the radiant stained glass of the Sainte-Chapelle, before the Latin Quarter. Time for a well-deserved lunch! The afternoon is dedicated to the modern city, with a focus on the transformations of the 19th century and the golden glow of the Belle Époque.
