Hello! My name is Maureen, and I’m from the region of Normandy, where I was born and raised. I’ve been passionate about history for as long as I can remember, so I pursued a degree in guiding, which allowed me to combine my love of languages, history, and storytelling. I began my career by doing tours at a Calvados distillery, an experience that gave me a deep appreciation for our regional heritage. Outside of guiding, I love reading and discovering new things; I’m naturally curious and always eager to connect with new people. I have been a professional guide in my region for two years now. My travels and experiences have shown me the value a guide can add to enriching visitors' experiences and connecting them to local culture. I’ve always wanted to help people explore Normandy in a genuine and unique way, sharing stories that bring each tour to life. Normandy has an exceptional heritage, and I love taking visitors through its rich and complex history. From William the Conqueror to the D-Day landing beaches, every era has left its mark here—not to mention our renowned gastronomy! Whether it’s through medieval architecture, castles, or culinary specialities, I wish to give travellers a truly immersive experience of our region. My goal is to make your journey through Normandy suited to you. I look forward to meeting you and showing you all that my region has to offer!

Join me on the back roads of Normandy, where each turn reveals a cherished piece of my home. On this tour, I’ll take you to villages you won’t find in guidebooks—places only a local truly knows. In these little towns we'll drive through, I’ll be sharing not only the beauty of their quaint streets but also the flavours that define Normandy. As we pass by fields dotted with Normandy cows, you’ll taste the cheeses their milk creates: Camembert, Pont-l’Évêque, and Livarot. You’ll also get to see orchards where apples are picked and transformed into Calvados, Normandy's renowned apple brandy. Here, you'll be able to savour a taste as you learn about the time-honored craft behind each bottle. Whether it’s spring with apple blossoms or autumn’s harvest, Normandy’s charm will surround you. By day’s end, I hope you’ll carry a bit of Normandy’s heart back home with you.
·If we were to depart from Bayeux, we'll first head to a cheese factory, where you'll learn of the creation process of our local cheeses and might even see the workers making it! ·Afterwards, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant in a small village. ·Then in the afternoon, we'll be going to the Calvados distillery, so you can get more acquainted with the process of making said local spirit. ·Afterwards, as well as all throughout our tour, we'll drive through little villages of Normandy's countryside and you'll see the apples orchards and the Normand cows! ·At last, we'll drive back to your pick-up location or at the agreed drop off point This itinerary may vary based on the pickup location (Caen, Le Havre, or Bayeux), so feel free to contact me to discuss a more specific tour schedule!
