Lena was so knowledgeable. She really made history come alive. She helped make the tour meaningful for us since we had family part of the D-day activities. I highly recommend her.

I'm a tour guide passionate about connecting travelers with Normandy's rich history. With over ten years of experience, I've honed my skills in storytelling and communication to create memorable experiences for everyone. I understand the struggle travelers face in finding tours that truly engage them. That's why I've sought out training from the National Association for Interpretation (USA), where I've learned innovative techniques like using all five senses and encouraging open dialogue. These methods allow me to offer immersive experiences that go beyond just sharing facts. With over 1500 tours under my belt, I know the ins and outs of guiding visitors through Normandy's history. I'm dedicated to tailoring each tour to your interests, ensuring you have a personalized and insightful journey. My approach to history is interactive and engaging, whether you prefer a leisurely walk or a longer adventure. I want to ensure you not only learn but also feel connected to the past, making the most of your time in Normandy. If you're looking for a friendly, easy-going guide who is passionate about sharing the beauty and history of Normandy, I would love to have the pleasure of welcoming you on my tour. This half-day tour is great if you would like to discover the essential stories of Omaha Beach Landing and if you travel with children. Pointe du Hoc with it's bomb craters and cliffs, Bloody Omaha and white head stones of the American cemetery will tell you different stories and make you thinking about the price paid by young soldiers during the liberation of Europe. During my tour, I provide many facts, stories like many tour guides. In order to make it special, I use several techniques touching different senses. Also I let you be Inspired by Places and People, give you opportunities to construct your own meanings through active engagements and by multi-way dialogue.
Lena was so knowledgeable. She really made history come alive. She helped make the tour meaningful for us since we had family part of the D-day activities. I highly recommend her.
We only had one day to tour Omaha Beach. We took the train to Bayeux for the day and was greeted by Lena at the train station when we disembarked. We were two couples and Lena‘s van was modern and comfortable. What followed was a wonderful experience led by a guide, who obviously appreciated and honored the people and the history. Her knowledge was vast and detailed on all aspects of the history of D-Day including before during and after. We toured the American Cemetery, Omaha Beach and entered German fortifications. She provided options to us including offering for us to walk on the beach itself, which we passed on. We stopped for sandwiches and lunch at a great little spot and since we had a later train to return to Paris, she stretched things out a little bit for us, which was great. She then brought us back to the train station in plenty of time and recommended and showed us where a little café was right next to the train station where we could wait and enjoy refreshments. She also recommended several books to us which she said would provide unique perspectives on the invasion and those who participated. She emailed those links to me the next day as promised. We would without hesitation, recommend Lena for any tours of the Normandy area, including those other than Omaha Beach as she is a student of the history of the entire area.
We loved our tour with Lena! Her knowledge and personal touch made for an exceptional experience.
Lena is a fantastic guide! Communications about the tour were very easy and prompt throughout. Lena is very easy to connect with and her knowledge and passion for the subject of D-Day beaches tour is apparent throughout. We had plenty of time to take in the various locations and even during the car rides she continued the conversation and interactions with us. The time went by very quickly but super informative and insightful. Good stories and anecdotes so it was not boring and plain facts. The amount of time was perfect and she was great about providing perspectives from the American point of view. I will recommend Lena for any future tours and would engage her if I go back to Mont St Michel and other areas in her expertise. Thank you Lena!
Lena was fantastic—very engaging and incredibly informative about D-Day. What we loved most was how she kept us engaged throughout the entire tour while visiting Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. Her knowledge and passion for the history really stood out. We highly recommend her services. You can’t go wrong booking a tour with Lena!
Lena was absolutly amazing. She was so full of knowledge and interesting stories about WWII. She went out of her way to help me trace my grandfathers steps and even took us to the beach where he landed in July 1944. It was by far our favorite tour we did in France!
* La Pointe du Hoc (we will see bomb craters, 100-feet cliff, German pillboxes and go inside the observation post). * Omaha Beach (we stop at the most difficult exit to be taken on Dday, we will see several Germans' positions and have a good view of all Omaha Beach). * American Cemetery (we pay our respects, see several moving memorials and Omaha Beach is in front of us from a German perspective). It is possible to add to this itinerary either the German cemetery or Overlord museum. Please send your request in advance.
