Lena was highly knowledgable about the Normandy D-Day invasion and very effective at communicating that information over the course of a fact-filled and impactful day. The highlight of our trip to France !

I'm a tour guide passionate about connecting travelers with Normandy's rich history. With over ten years of experience, I've honed my skills in storytelling and communication to create memorable experiences for everyone. I understand the struggle travelers face in finding tours that truly engage them. That's why I've sought out training from the National Association for Interpretation (USA), where I've learned innovative techniques like using all five senses and encouraging open dialogue. These methods allow me to offer immersive experiences that go beyond just sharing facts. With over 1500 tours under my belt, I know the ins and outs of guiding visitors through Normandy's history. I'm dedicated to tailoring each tour to your interests, ensuring you have a personalized and insightful journey. My approach to history is interactive and engaging, whether you prefer a leisurely walk or a longer adventure. I want to ensure you not only learn but also feel connected to the past, making the most of your time in Normandy. If you're looking for a friendly, easy-going guide who is passionate about sharing the beauty and history of Normandy, I would love to have the pleasure of welcoming you on my tour. No documentary can compare to standing in front of the bomb crater at Pointe du Hoc, feeling the wind from the English Channel. Get a firsthand look at the terrifying German pillboxes that the Allied forces faced. As we drive through the Normandy countryside, you'll understand how brave were soldiers who fought here. The unchanged terrain and white headstones of the American cemetery tell the stories of the young soldiers who paid the ultimate price for the liberation of Normandy. My tour is not just about providing facts and stories like any tour guide. I strive to make it special by using a variety of techniques that engage different senses and inspire you to connect with the places and people we visit. I believe in giving you the opportunity to actively engage with the history and construct your own meanings through multi-way dialogue.

Lena was absolutely extraordinary. She engaged fully different generations in our group so that at the conclusion of the tour we each said - this tour was the highlight of a long trip to France! She kindly did some research on our Dad’s involvement in D Day from as a LST officer. She curated the tour to focus on the sites I had requested; she was so kind, empathic and extraordinarily knowledgeable. We can imagine no one better. We hope to return and tour other sites where she could lead our tour. Simply outstanding.
Lena was fantastic!. I highly recommend her. An incredibly knowledgeable and personable guide.
I had a deeply personal interest in finally visiting Normandy as my father landed on Omaha Beach on DDay (29th Infantry Division, 121st Engineer Combat Battalion). We had communicated prior to our tour and she was extremely well prepared and had done research on my father (who died when I was 16 at age 47). She had more knowledge about the actual day/battles than I could comprehend … but my husband the Army brat was totally enthralled. She took some great pictures of us at several key places. We couldn’t have been more pleased. It was a fabulous day with a very personable guide.
Lena was wonderful, so knowledgeable and interesting. My mother and I were very impressed by Lena’s breadth of information, her visual aides, and her interesting stories. Out time touring Normandy with Lena was one of our favorite activities while visiting Europe.
We had a wonderful day with Lena in Normandy. She is charming, very knowledgeable and really fun to spend a day with. VERY highly recommended.
*LA POINTE DU HOC. You will have the opportunity to see the bomb craters, 100-foot cliff, and German pillboxes. You will also be able to go inside the observation post to gain a unique perspective on the events of D-Day. *OMAHA BEACH. We stop at the most challenging exit taken by the soldiers on D-Day. You'll have a chance to see several German positions and, if the tides permit, walk on the very sand where the soldiers landed. *LUNCH (opt) *AMERICAN CEMETERY. We pay our respects and see moving memorials, while also getting a unique perspective of Omaha Beach from the German point of view. *SAINT MERE EGLISE. We will park in the historical town center, which was one of the first villages to be liberated on D-Day. Here, you will see the famous church from the movie "The Longest Day" and a dummy representing John Steel. *UTAH BEACH. We'll compare the terrain, German positions, and Allied army actions to Omaha Beach. You'll see a brand-new Andrew Higgins monument with a replica of LCVP and a Sherman tank.
