D-Day Landings: Juno Beach and Canadian Sector

I'll contextualize you on the 12th SS Panzer Division June 7th counterattacks against the Canadians and share stories of those who fought for survived. I'll also shed light on the SS attack on Bretteville L'orgueilleuse which was admirably repelled after hard fighting. **** If you want to discover the highlights of Juno Beach sector in one day, this tour is for you! During that day we will together go to different battlefields, military cemeteries, and memorials to get a better understanding of the greatest landing operation ever undertaken. My main asset is not only my knowledge about the landing operation but my enthusiasm for doing tours. I have been passionate about the second world war since I'm 13 years old. Doing tours it is not a job for me but a passion! I have been a battlefield tour guide in Normandy for more than 8 years. I met several WWII veterans and had the chance to guide some of them. -We'll first depart to Juno Beach, where I'll contextualize you on the Canadian landing aided by maps & pictures. *We'll see Saint Aubin, Bernières & Courseulles sur mer. We will bunkers, memorials to pay a tribute to these young men. -Later, we'll visit the Juno beach Center, the only memorial for the Canadian army in Normandy. -Afterwards, we'll reach the humbling site of Bény sur mer, a Canadian cemetery where more than 2, 000 Canadian servicemen are buried. -We'll continue to Tailleville, a small village behind Juno Beach, where a fierce battle ended after hours of close-quarter combat. -We'll then drive to Hell's Corner, where the Canadian 3rd Division stopped at the end of the first day. -Next, we'll stop by the Abbaye d'Ardenne where I'll share the sad story of the 20 young Canadians that were executed here by SS troops. -At last, we'll visit Bretteville L'orgueilleuse, a village attacked by the SS. -We'll end the tour with a drop-off at an agreed point.
