We had a great tour despite not great weather! Michael was under the weather but his replacement guide Marcos was excellent. He had so much knowledge about the city and history, took us to interesting spots and drove us through lovely neighborhoods. While the views were not the greatest due to clouds and rain, we still got to see the iconic Rio landscape from Sugarloaf and other viewpoints. Marcos' English was fluent and we really enjoyed the personalized tour.

Michael was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about Brazil and its history. He made changes so we could see the most and get the best bang for our buck. He was a great conversationalist and always made us feel comfortable!

Best tour by far ! I do these tours in each city i travel too,and michael was fantastic, met our pace, planned it accordingly and was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend Michael !!!

Had a great time touring Rio with Micheal. As promised he took us to the unique locations and told us the history of Rio. He was prompt, kind and fun. We didn’t want to do the touristy Christ the Redeemer or Sugarloaf! Absolutely loved Santa Teresa and had a lovely lunch at a local restaurant.

Michael did a great job of showing us Rio. We were already planning on seeing the major sites of Rio with a large group multi-day tour. Michael took us to more out of the way local places that allowed us to see the real Rio. He was very accommodating to makes changes on the fly and made sure we were not overwhelmed with the hot weather. Highly recommend Michael for your Rio tours!

Since we had been in Rio a few years ago having seen all the usual first time sites, we wanted to go off the beaten path. Michael was fantastic! We spent 2 days touring and really got an excellent feel for the city, including a 2 hour favela walking tour. Michael is extremely knowledgeable, professional and lots of fun! Highly recommended!
